GROHE3282500L | Eurosmart Cosmopolitan Basin Mixer Tap

I decided to ignore my plumbers advice (buy some cheap taps, you'll never know the difference) and splash out of this one from Grohe for my new bathroom.I'm glad I did. This is a substantial, heavy tap. It looks good and it works a treat.Your plumber will probably complain about the weight when he's fixing it, but it is so smooth and easy to use when it's fixed to the sink top that you never will.The metal parts are really smooth and bright, and they come clean with a quick wipe. The action is both smooth and positive, with the flow being adjustable from a slight trickle to a real gush when required.There is a flow adjuster mechanism built into the tap, though you should not reduce the flow if you have a pressurised (combi) system.The tap is a cartridge model (no rubber washers to fiddle with ever again) and removing and replacing the cartridge mechanism is quick and easy. Ask your plumber to fit a service valve to every tap to make this job even easier and quicker.The tap comes complete with a push type waste (seen on the continent - uses rods behind the tap to make the waste open and close) I replaced it with a click type waste as I prefer this.The taps come complete with braided, metal covered tails, and these finish on a 3/8" female swivel nut, so you will need to buy the adapters to suit your system. I used 3/8" to 15mm copper to go into a compression fitting service valve.I have had a look at some other taps since I bought these and have decided to reorder another one for my en-suite bathroom.

Fantastic tap, very well made, you can feel the quality.Fair price & packaged very well. It arrived quickly too, which was great as my plumber was waiting to fit. It.It looks lovely in my new bathroom. Would highly recommend.

Nice tap, very happy with looks and flow. The waste we got with it is beyond terrible. Buy a separate click clack waste and don't go with the push pull contraption they recommend.

Loved the tap, still do, but let down in a big way with the cheap looking excuse for a waste lever. I can't believe the waste lever is actually Grohe. Anyway I only noticed it after the plumbers installed it so it was a real let down. We will change at first opportunity. Shame because you can't fault the tap itself.

While I did not return the item the box I received had been opened and a part stolen. I used the drain pop lever off the old tap to replace the stolen one. Therefore I can’t rate value or easy to install.
