Beautiful, comfortable, but not small
Scales are beautiful, well matched, nicely finished evenly with the other hardware. Alignment, lockup and centering are all perfect, with smooth deployment and closing. The grinds are even and the edge is shaving sharp; a few passes on a leather strop brought it pretty darn close to perfection. The liners are also lined up well but, as others have mentioned, are pretty sharp. Although they don’t bother me in any practical manner upon initial handling, I have never had a knife where I noticed it so much (they are exposed more than other knives with thinner blades - the blade is very thick for a pocket knife, welcome for the type of work it is intended for - but the space between accentuates the exposure to the liners and thus their sharpness). This is my only complaint so far.It really feels comfortable in hand, so much so as to make one even notice the weight a little less. I bought this knife to carry in public in urban green spaces where I wanted to practice some woodworking skills but not draw the attention one might with a fixed blade. I will update my review with some use to discuss edge holding and stability, as well as comfort with prolonged use. So far this tool feels great, has a great quality and finish (except for the sharp liners) and punches at least at or above its price point, approaching the venerable Buck 110 in this regard. It feels better in hand (this is very subjective - YMMV) and the scandi grind is much more appropriate for the purpose I bought it for. In terms of the latter point, it sits towards the more affordable side between the offerings of Cold Steel and Casstrom. We’ll see how this knife does with a little bushcrafting.

Perfection
I love everything about the knife. Very well made, feels perfect in my hand. Super sharp blade. The olive wood is awesome.

Razor sharp
Just received my new knife from JEO-TEC. I have been looking for a good scandi grind folder for edc. This will be opening boxes slicing cardboard, etc. Really, I wanted a fixed blade quality, where fixed blades are not necessarily approved of these days. I have been looking at the Nº17 Bushcraft Survival Camping Hunting Fishing Outdoor Folding Knife, 3.7" Blade, for some months now and decided to give it a go. I am very pleased. There were a few cosmetic fix and finish type issues, but I was able to fix most of them pretty quickly. The mechanism is tight, no play. Opens and closes smoothly, and came very sharp. Overall, I recommend this knife, good buy.

EDC Bushcrafter folder
The media could not be loaded. If you like scandi grinds and want a folder, this is the best choise. There are very few scandi folders and most are not true grinds but have a secondary bevel. The JEO-TEC 17 is a true scandi. So far, Excellent craftsmanship, good balance and weight. Makes very fine slices with accuracy and ease. I tested it out on small pices wood and branches and it handled it with ease. Works fine with harder woods. The scandi grind makes it an excellent precision carver. Makes quick work of ordinary stuff like cardboard and so. I can see this knife being used for anything like field dressing deer to being a companion to a fixed bushcraft or hunter. On it's own it is capable of llight to moderate bushcraft tasks. I do not baton with folders but I'm sure this would hold up though in an emergency. Tough leather excellent quality sheath, black for Olivewood and brown for cocobolo, horizontal or vertical carry. I absolutely recommend this A+ folding knife.

The Beast
This knife is a beast. Excellent craftsmanship, and superb materials. This knife is on par or better than many of the other bushcraft folders on the market. Awesome.

Really wanted to like this knife, but folders are apparently not in their wheelhouse.
Had anticipated much better fit and finish for a knife in this price range. Item arrived with chips in the blade edge, sharp edges where they shouldn't be (bolsters, exposed portion of the locking bar and ends of scale pins). Blade movement exhibited drag and resistance but was centered. Most of these issues could have been solved by batch deburring the components prior to assembly. The edge issues are another story. Potentially the steel was at the high side (or exceeded) heat treat hardness spec and was embrittled leading to the chipped edge during final sharpening. Grind was spot on and the blade steel is often used on bushmasters (have several other knives using this steel) so that was not the issue.Olive wood scales were well done and well fitted - just to sharp liners and using pins that both protruded too far and had sharp ends where cut off. Evident hot spots with light use from the steel components mentioned. Lock up seemed solid until knife was used to make a handful (3) fatwood feather sticks. At that point things moved a bit (pivot point wobble) and overall integrity of the knife became questionable.Blade and lock components are very thick for a folder. You would think that the knife would be a tank judging by how beefy it is overall - and no doubt would have been had there been more attention to detail. With a little more effort in final finish (heat treat too) and maybe a bit of a diet regarding blade stock and overall thickness this could have been an awesome bushcraft folder (for feathersticks, carving, etc.) when paired with a hatchet for the heavier work.I put the knife back in the box and emailed customer service as per their included card. Still waiting on a response as of this review. Was considering a couple of their fixed blades, but likely will spend that money on a tried and true domestic brand before rolling the dice on this product line.UPDATE - it has been over a week with no response from the customer service address provided with the product. Returning knife. Poor service as well as poor quality.
