Excellent scope!
Excellent customer service from the seller! The scope is more than what I was expecting. Crystal clear glass and the magnification is awesome. Athlon created a very nice optic. Precision was put into this scope and it was worth the money. I originally did my homework on Athlon as I have always been a Vortex optic person. The scope Athlon is making can give Vortex a run for their money! Thank you to Athlon and the customer service from the seller!

Value for price point=5 stars
I'm a professional photographer and a premium glass snob. But in this case, long range accuracy performance is the king, so with that said the glass isn't the finest but it isn't a hindrance to the performance. The performance for me in this case is turret tracking and proper MOA reticle calibration. Athlon has done a great job and I can report that these most important functions are spot on!My eyesight is not the best so I also demand a full illuminated reticle and this scope doesn't disappoint. I chose the 8-34 for long distance reticle ranging out to 1000 yards and beyond on elk and deer. Being able to zoom way in makes for finer more accurate reticle ranging on 17-34 inch targets. Once I confirm the range I back off the zoom to a preferred focal point and engage.FOR THE PRICE, you won't find a better scope right now that is actually in stock! Only the ARKEN SH4 GEN2 can take the top spot for build quality but it has a 16 week backorder and growing. It however does NOT have a full illuminated reticle and it is only 4-16 power. The no BS warranty of this Athlon scope removes the overpriced scopes from Vortex from contention. Both are made in China, as well as the ARKEN. The choice is clear...when looking at reliability, calibration, and repeatable function, this is the only scope to get.

Good Economy Scope for the $
So far so good. Only using it on a 223 target rifle. Don't know how it would fare on a magnum. Turret clicks are crisp and countable. Glass is clear edge to edge. As other raters have said in many forums there is a significant amount of black edge around the field of view, & it requires a short eye relief to get the fullest field of view, so you may have to mount the scope back as far as you can tolerate. Parallax focus works well, BUT alleged distance marks aren't accurate so you dial to whatever until your target is in focus,.

Great value
Having used cheap scopes for years, upgrading to this scope was a game changer for me! Great clarity, can tell it’s good glass. Good clean ticks when adjusting. Would happily buy another without any second thought

HOLY CRAP! AWESOME!
OK, it is very crisp at all magnifications (out to 1100 yards so far). The Illuminated reticle is crisp also. The turrets move smoothly, accurately, very tactile clicks, but not too loud, you ain't gonna scare away the critters. Parallax is right on the money. Weight is great for what it is. Now what is it on? Browning X-Bolt Max LR 300 Win Mag. Sure, I have a Recoil Hawg brake on it of course, but it handles the recoil like a champ. Also, hand loader so my rounds are a bit HOT! I put it up against my others that are 2-3 times the price. Check out Backfire reviews on it too, I am using the 20 MOA Picatinny Rail and Athlon Precision Scope Rings, tall. I might have gotten away with mediums,. but it is what it is. Great company, excellent product.

OMG!
This scope has a very clear glass. Beautifully sounding turrets. Crisp clicks when turning either elevation or windage know. Lets not forget the price point. Really, a First Focal Plane scope! Will purchase again. Thanks

Nice Scope But You Get What You Pay For
Cons: I have a 25x scope that sees just as far, if not further than this one so its not 34x magnification. The reticle is thick so its not good for shooting out to far distances, and the quality of the glass is what you would expect from a $400 scopePros: Durable, works great, illuminated reticle is great. The direction of rotation for magnification is opposite of other brands but to me its more intuitive and with the attachable lever it comes with it makes zooming out to find the target and then zooming in real quick and easy.If you're hunting or shooting out to 600yards or less this is definitely worth it. If you're shooting long range past 800y you'll need something better.

Better than scopes that cost 3 times as much.
Athlon makes a great rifle scope. Crystal clear glass, Sharpe reticle, easy to focus and zero.
