Exactly what I was looking for…
The weight, material and appearance of these columns are excellent. Looked for columns like these for years. When product arrived, liked it so much I bought two more. Pricey, but lighter weight than concrete yet substantial. Worth the price.

Quite Stable
Very nice, short column. It comes already looking a bit dirty to give it a realistic look. The quality isn’t perfect but it’s very nice. It’s light enough to easily move around, yet heavy enough to be stable and not knocked over easily. The appearance is more like “plaster” than stone or marble.

Big and pretty!
Make sure you measure as this pedestal. It is hollow, but since it is bigger, it is still a little heavy and unwieldy to move around easily. I have mine in an odd alcove area of my hallway. I switch what I put on it for different times of year, plant, dried pussywillows, a statue, etc. I know it says indoor/outdoor, but I have put other Design Toscano stuff outside and it isn't as sturdy as a solid material (like concrete.) After a while, the material seems to wear away and you can see some sort of mesh or even a hole. I have gargoyles on my front porch (also from Design Toscano) I got about 6 years ago. I ended up painting mine with spray paint to protect them and have to redo the paint about every other year or the statue starts to degrade. This seems like a similar composite material to that, so I would be careful putting this in the elements. In a covered area, it should be fine.

Athena Pedestal Column Plant Stand
Review for:Design Toscano Athena Corinthian Furniture Pedestal Column Plant Stand, 33 Inch, Pol resin. Antique StonePerfect pedestal plant stand for a rather large fern. Focal point, A beauty. Designer resin looking like an antique stone finish, I did place a bag of river rocks in the base, extra weight. just for my piece of mind .Not really necessary as the weight of the pedestal is 40 lbs.Very pleased with the classic look, can highly recommend.
