East assembly and very sturdy! Looks great when put together. Perfect height for room.

I get tired of reviews that are marked down or have bad comments on them because of damage in shipping. That is 100% irrelevant to the review of the ACTUAL product itself!! Your not reviewing Amazon delivery, USPS, UPS, or FEDEX... as a buyer, I want to know about the actual item itself!! I am sure when any item leaves the manufacturer, it is in a good condition BEFORE being often miss-handled by overworked shipping people.That being said, this shelf unit is better than I expected. Well constructed of pretty thick gauge square steel and sturdy center hinges all finished in a pretty decent tough matte black finish. It has actually metal adjusting feet that slip in tightly into the bottom. The shelves themselves are very solid 5/8" thick with a nice wood veneer finish... they should hold up well without sagging unless you get carried away with excessive weight on the shelves. It assembles really easy and they even give you extra screws for the shelves just in case. Comes with a handheld screwdriver... (although a #3 phillips works better)... but in a pinch for someone without additional tools, this will work just fine.I would highly recommend this unit.As for the packaging... well packed, solid box, plenty of foam to keep things isolated.

This shelf is beautiful and easy to put together. Great quality and very sturdy.

The good: Both the metal frame and the laminated wood finish were free from nicks, scratches, and blemishes. There was some damage to the box from shipping, but it was packed with enough styrofoam to protect the shelf. Even came with a few extra screws and a rather nice screwdriver.The bad: The screws are cheap and stripped easily when I tried using my impact driver. Had to switch back to assembling the shelf by hand. The individual shelves have stickers to label where they go. The stickers have strong adhesive and it took longer to remove the stickers completely than it took to assemble the entire shelf.The adjustable feet are sturdy, but require some light hammer taps to help seat them in place. Overall, a nice and stable shelf that needs less sticky stickers.

We got this to set up a dedication to our 3 year old dog who passed away. It’s where his bed used to be and fits perfectly. Great quality and a good price. Easy to put together too and not too heavy.

it was assembly friendly, i put it together myself, took me only an hour...looks great in my living room, wish i had bought 2..and i would buy it again..looks really good, and doesnt feel cheap
