Does what it says on the cover
Gina has done it again!!! Have enjoyed this DVD!When you purchase this read what it says on the cover. It’s a power walk! For those who have commented saying it’s fast, well what do you expect from a power walk, a gently stroll? It is fast but then that’s to be expected, given the title. I think before you buy (given the cost) try Gina’s free 15 minute power walks on her YouTube channel, that will give you a taster. If you like them then you will like this dvd.On this dvd I would recommend starting with the 00’s. In my opinion this is the easiest decade. Next the 90’s, although, I think, its a tad rushed and not as well executed as the others, but in the third section it works you well. Then go to the 70’s, 60’s then if you really want a challenge try the 80’s, I was a melted mess after doing this one!Others purchasers have commented on the backdrop that has been used on the dvd. Yes, it’s a bit basic and possibly could have been fancier, but I have found the simplicity has made me concentrate more on Gina and the moves. At the end of the day does it make it easier looking at a smooth floor and fancy surroundings? Not in my opinion. I would rather focus on what I’m supposed to be doing than looking at a collection of flowers in the corner. (Exaggeration I know but still!). I think it’s hard enough just keeping up!This brings me to to the workouts. Gina carries on using her traditional dance that walk exercises. Although she has tried to make it easier for us unfits by having a chorus walk, familiarity helps I have found! It’s easy to follow, I’m no dancer, and yes I have laughed at myself when I have gone the wrong way or done the wrong move. But it’s easy to catch up and get back into the ‘zone’.The music generally seems to use 2 popular tracks with an unfamiliar one in the middle of each 15 minute session. However, in the 00’s I haven’t found this, although it could be the fact I’m in my 50’s and not so familiar with the music of this decade. Either way, it keeps the beat up so you can keep moving. In my opinion though it’s nicer to have something to sing along with, makes the time go faster. And in the 80’s something to take your mind off the fact you are working soooo hard!!!So to conclude I would recommend this dvd. Be aware it’s a power walk, so keeps a fast pace, but It’s a fun way, to do cardio, with a full body workout thrown in. Giving an opportunity to sing along to some powerful tunes whilst making you break a sweat, without it feeling too much like a workout. Thank you Gina!!!

Fun and Effective
I love advanced cardio workouts and I've always done a lot of high impact HIIT, but at 58, my body gets injured more easily now. These DVDs have been really good, my heart rate gets up and I sweat. It's mostly steady state cardio, but there a few intervals here and there, but not the kind that might cause any fear... The set is pricey, but you do get 5 hours total and I suspect the price point is also because of the music licensing - these are recognisable chart hits; they are cover versions and some of them are sped up for the workout, but they're decent and the familiar music does give me a boost. The music is the main differentiator between all 5 workouts - the steps are mostly very similar in each one, and they're all pretty much at the same solid intermediate level. I always do the full 55 minute class - warm up and cool down with three 15 minute cardio 'mixes' - but you can choose to do only one or two of the mixes for a shorter session. I might one day add one mix on to a strength training workout for a short cardio boost. Gina tells us that the full 55 minute workout will add 6000 steps, and according to my cheap fitness tracker, she is correct. Doing one mix would probably add about 2000. Gina is a warm, encouraging trainer and her makeup is spectacular! This set is worth the money for me, and I'm already eyeing up some of her other workouts...

Fantastic, particularly if you want to have fun whilst exercising!
If you like Gina's style and enjoy her free videos, don't hesitate and buy her DVDs! I found her videos during one of the lockdowns and started to be really addicted to them due to Gina's fun way of exercising. It is great to have access to Gina's free videos, but then decided that it would be good to support her by buying her DVDs.It is so nice to be able to select whatever decade you feel like doing at the time (without the adverts) - great choice of music with the usual Gina style (good mood and fun!!!). Anyway when I received the DVDs, I wasn't feeling like doing much on the day, so decided to "just try one of the decades for a few minutes" and I ended doing the full decade! Of course, I couldn't help doing another decade the following day etc..... Fantastic if you want to have fun whilst exercising - and get motivated to do more than what you would otherwise do.I also bought the DVD "Dance that Walk - Body Circuit 2" and I love it too. You can also join Gina's group on Facebook (UpBEat Tribe).Big thank you to Gina and her team for all that they do.

Good workout
Good. Don't think that because it's a walking exercise it will be easy. I do one video at a time and certainly know I have done a good work out. I was attracted by the music through the ages but unfortunately can't hear it as the woman never stops talking all the way through. I would have preferred it if she just mentioned what do do onice and then let me copy her. I turned the sound down as her voice can be annoying.
