7/22/2020 update: Lifetime Jewelry's customer service is outstanding. I have had to use the warranty twice. After a couple years of wear (including in the shower and in bed), the chain was looking a bit tarnished & dull. We submitted for a warranty replacement and received it very timely. The new chain made me realize how dull the old one had, in fact, become. Then, the clasp broke on that one and we submitted for another replacement. Lifetime Jewelry came through again with a whole new chain. My son loves the look of the chain and wears it constantly (except during basketball). I'd recommend this purchase to anyone looking for affordable lifetime jewelry.I wasn't going to spend hundreds of dollars getting a gold chain for my teenage son. This one is beautiful. He's thrilled that it's 24-karat gold even if it's only plating. It's just what he wanted. I like that it's thick plating AND that there's a lifetime warranty. I hope not to use the warranty, and I hope that if the time comes it will work out - it's just nice knowing I'm not spending a lot of money for something that will be trash in less than a year.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. The gold plating was supposed to be so much thicker per the description, but it's BS. In less than 6 weeks, the color changed to looking like rose gold instead of gold, and that's because the metal underneath the plating is showing through. If I could still return this, I would. It was a total waste of money. Buyer Beware!!!

I love the rope chain craftsmanship with amazing sparkle. It does not get caught on my clothes being such a smooth design. I bought it to where with an antique pendant, the size I bought is 5mm, too big to wear with it, however, great to wear alone just a statement chain. I will definitely be buying the 3mm for my pendant. I do get compliments on it all the time. Worth the price for a great piece to start or add to your jewelry collection. Enjoy!

I didn't wear it every day, but over time, after 4 years, it started to show some wear and tear. I contacted Lifetime Jewelry support and they were incredibly helpful. This company has amazing customer service and an amazing products. My fiancé had his rope chain for about six months and it has worked great. He showers with it and everything. The clasp started to tarnish a little bit. I think the gold plating I just rubbed off. But I let the seller know and they immediately sent out another chain free of charge. pretty good quality. looks and feels very expensive. but the only thing is the tag on the clasp that hangs is very annoying. makes the value of the chain look super cheap. without it it would look like a super expensive but with it it looks like a super cheap costume jewelry chain. also the chain turns my neck black every day from day 1 no matter how or how often the chain is cleaned like its tarnishing or something. and also the clasp and some parts on the chain started to fade and tarnish and turn silver after probably about less than 2 months, great chain but will most likely be returning for warranty claim only after 2 months. also the return for the warranty is very old fashion you have to send it in with a hand written piece of paper. like come on we are in the 21st century. but overall a decent purchase for the price

I purchased the 5 mm gold rope chain in 2016. It had since tarnished. I contacted the company and they immediately sent me a replacement chain. The chain looks great and last a long time. The customer service is amazing.
