Q: Put my Pi4 in here and ghe Flirc case git extremely hot after 40 minutes of use. Is that normal?

Have you used that heat conductive sticker that came with the case? That's the only way I could think of.

Q: Is this case fine for the 8gb model?

I use the FLIRC Raspberry Pi 4 Gen2 case with the 8GB model. I think the Kodi case was designed for previous RPi model. Similar no fan design using case as heat sink. (A two day continuously on test run using a case with a fan had very noisy bearing noise after 48 hours.)

Q: If i want to open the case do i need to re apply the heat sticker with a paste like on a normal cpu or does it press against it so its fine to re open

No. The pads supplied are sticky on one side, you stick that to the processor[1] and the case maintains contact with this when closed. [1] I suppose you could stick it to the case, keeping the Pi 'clean', but the instructions say stick it to the processor.

Q: Need a replacement thermal pad for this case. Does anybody know the dimensions & thickness of the included pad? Thanks

I used 1.5mm pad, but I think 1.0mm would also work. Selection packs are quite cheap, I bought 0.5/1.0/1.5mm just to make sure :-)
