Very nice quality
I got the hardwired makeup mirror with one side 10x magnification and the other side regular magnification. It’s very nice quality, exactly as advertised and pictured. I am a senior woman and installed it myself, but I do have the skills to do so.A few things about this mirror and the installation:The 10x side is very large magnification. I kind of wish I had gone for the 7x. Together with the lights over my vanity and this lighted makeup mirror, I have no trouble seeing when using the mirror to put on cosmetics. BUT I would also like to use this mirror to put on my earrings. With the 10x magnification, my face is in focus but my earlobes are blurry. That’s why I would get 7x next time. The finish on the mirror is nice. I got brushed nickel and it matches my bathroom fixtures nicely. The on/off toggle switch is on the right side of the mirror base. Since this is installed on the left side wall of my vanity, I have to reach beyond the mirror to turn that on. It’s not hard but a little more of a reach than if I was installing it on the right side wall of my vanity. To prep for installation, make sure you hold it up on the wall (which is awkward) and consider the height of the person who will use it. It’s adjustable left to right, out from the wall, and tilt, but the height is not adjustable. Also consider carefully the position where it will rest “closed” against your wall. We have an electrical outlet near it on one side and a hand towel hook on the other side. I’m glad I considered all these different placement factors before I cut the hole for it.Typically, you would use a rectangular “new work” outlet box for this but I decided to install a round ceiling “new work” box on the wall instead. I was initially concerned that the screw holes on this fixture would not line up with the holes on the ceiling box but they did. Note that when you screw this fixture into your electrical box, the screws are not provided. This fixture comes with a plastic clamp attached with the mirror’s blue (neutral), red (line/hot) and yellow/green (ground) wires held into the clamp with tiny screws. You’re suppose to insert your white, black, and ground into the corresponding slots on the opposite side of the clamp and screw them down. You need a tiny screwdriver to use that provided clamp. However, the mirror’s wiring is very short. So you need to work tight up against your wall. I had difficulty holding the fixture up while trying to screw my black/white/ground wires into that clamp, (even with a make-shift shelf to hold the fixture for me) so I ended up removing the provided clamp and using wire nuts instead. The terminology in the instructions is a little odd for the US. For example, they call the ground wire an “earth” wire. But it was not hard for me to figure out.Installation was a little tricky, mostly because of the configuration of the electrical source in my house and because the wiring inside the mirror is very short. But it was doable.I am really happy with the mirror. It’s beautiful and functions very nicely. But f I had this purchase to make again, I would get 7x and not 10x magnification so that I could use this to put on my earrings.I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. I hope that my review helped you.

Good quality but dim light
Its well made and i installed it without a hitch but the LED light around the rim does not get that bright and is off little value for makeup

This was a bad decision.
My first, second, third, and fourth choices for a wall mount magnifying mirror were all out of stock. So instead of being patient I went ahead and ordered this one. In a nutshell, it's pretty on the outside but cheap and cheesy on the inside. Here's a quick summary of my regrets:- turns out that it's not UL listed. Has a very cheesy electrical connection device (a sort of plastic/metal harness) which I couldn't bring myself to use (I used wire nuts instead). The center hole on the mounting plate (through which you feed your electrical wiring) is so small that I was worried that over time it might rub against the sheath on my electrical conductors and damage them. So I wrapped electrical tape around the conductors to protect them.- as the description indicates, there are 3 different lighting levels. But you have to physically turn off the light with the power switch, and then turn it back on again to change lighting levels. Arrgh. Really?- pay attention to the orientation of the mounting plate as it has to be mounted to the wall in a specific orientation. I didn't discover this until I was ready to mount the mirror, and the included instructions were no help (no English). I ended up drilling an additional hole in the mounting plate so I could mount it to the new electrical box I installed in the wall. If it weren't for drilling this hole I would probably have returned the mirror.- I'm not thrilled with the maximum light this mirror produces. The product description states there are 25 LEDs and I incorrectly assumed it would be plenty bright. My bad ... I should have been looking for a lumens rating. It's OK, just not what I expected.Overall I feel I paid too much for this mirror. In my opinion it should be priced closer to $60 instead of $96.Hope this helps someone.

Order with confidence
We ended up going with a different mirror that fit our design needs (without an indicator light), but this mirror looks great in person. It looks like a quality mirror. Being able to flip it is nice. It was the only hard wire touch mirror I could find. A little tip- when sizing make note that the mirror sits above the arm - install for the height of the mirror not the base. Giving it 5 stars for terrific customer service. Very responsive!

Good and not so good items
The goodThe mirror and arms are solid and hold position when adjusted and the finish is goodThe not so goodYou need a good amount of ambient light because the light from the mirror is very lowYou need to be careful when selecting the electrical box that you are going to use, the round mounting plate is small and most boxes will hang beyond the mounting plateThe mounting plate must be rotated in the correct position to have the mirror arm level, this requires installing the electrical box in the correct orientationAfter attaching the mounting plate to the wall, the building electrical wiring must be passed through the small hole in the mounting plate, then supporting the mirror with one arm you must attach the building wiring to the mirror wires and then attach the mirror to the mounting plate with screwsThis all needs to be done while holding the mirror with one hand

This item will require an electrician- not for the diy handywoman
This is a 'posh hotel' quality shaving/makeup mirror. The plug end comes exactly as pictured, and it must be hardwired. The lighting is very sufficient for task of shaving or applying makeup.GURUN Wall Mounted Hardwired Makeup Mirror is the best quality I have ever purchased (10+ mirrors over the years) and is worth every dollar spent.
