Really easy to install into my HP laptop. I followed a YouTube video for directions as it was my first time changing a laptop battery. A fantastic battery that is great value for money!

Given the fact that it costs £45.99 it would be nice to have those supplied at least!Battery build quiality seems just like from orignal equipment manufacturer (OEM), the hinges are plastic, battery has a plastic case on side holding it sturdy. Pins are straight and seem to be gold plated. Once installed my Dell charges to 100% and doesn't overheat, battery life is like new. Overall i'm happy with the quality. But no manual or tooling was provided, although battery costs £45.99.

This battery looks to be a generic one because I have literally just reviewed the same battery but under a different brand. Unlike the previous one, this battery arrived with no x screwdriver, should have been one, and absolutely no instructions or paperwork. However, there are quite a few videos on YouTube as to how to carry out the battery replacement. Unlike Apple batteries, which are glued down, this Dell battery just screws into place.You need to remove the CD/DVD drive first, which is only a matter of undoing 3 screws. There are 3 further screws under the CD/DVD drive that need removing, then a further 12 from the plastic base itself. Having done that, you should then be able to prize of the bottom cover.There is a small silver bracket that needs taking out and then disconnect the existing battery. Undo the screw holding the battery in place and remove. All you then must do is do the whole process in reverse.I would suggest wearing an anti-static wristband while doing this.It is suggested that you let the battery drain down to zero, leave the computer off for 4-hours and then charge to 100% before using. Prior to this, turn off any energy saving settings on the laptopWhen you consider a genuine Dell battery on Amazon UK is going to cost in the region of £72. This one, at £45.99 is good value for money but the same battery is available under a different brand on the Amazon UK website for less.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. The screwdriver is missing in the pack and whereas it is probably easy to install for people that have done so before, it would have been convenient with proper instructions.My friend did all the work to replace and found that it worked with no overheating. It's cheaper than an original, but also doesn't last quite so long from the outset ,so we wonder how long it will last after regular usage.

This is pretty easy to install in a Del laptop. There is around 8-10 screws in the back and then only 4 holding the old battery in. There really is not any difficulty in installation which is fantastic because this battery does not come with any instructions. The only challenging part is the prying open of the case. If you have never done this before, investing in some pry tools designed for laptops and phones as such will be useful as would watching some youtube videos on the subject so you know what to expect. Once again this does not come with any tools at all!The computer says the new battery is strong and operating well, just as it should. If you've been putting off replacing your faulty battery, don't! I would not even get someone else to do this at a cost, it is very easy to do yourself! I was surprised to find the old battery I took out of my laptop was badly swollen and deformed, I suspect it was on the verge of bursting into flames and taking the house with it.In conclusion for the price you are saving yourself a lot of money in the long run. Worth the purchase.
