Great ant bait
This ant bait has worked really well for controlling ant incursions around my home. This year has been a year of exceptionally high ant activity in my area. We had a very mild winter and these little critters have been browsing for food just everywhere. This particular product is very good at attracting them so that they will take the bait, share it with others, thereby significantly reducing their population. It works well if you put small spots of it at multiple locations around any ant trails you find. If you have a trail inside your house, you need to put the product down near the trail and give the ants a few hours of not disturbing the trail so they have time to find it and eat and share the bait. If you just wipe up the ants and their trail, they frequently just show up somewhere else. Works outside too near trails or places where lots of ants are browsing for food. This bait seems to contain a really strong attractant for the ants I have encountered (may not work on all varieties).I used to buy this at Home Depot, but they quit carrying it and would only carry the Combat Roach and Ant bait. That product did not work nearly as well on ants. Kind of a humorous incident: one day I found ants crawling all over my computer desk and could not figure out what was attracting them. Usually a dead bug behind furniture or something results in an ant invasion in my area. I finally realized, while cleaning everything off of the desk, that I had a closed, partially used tube of Combat ant bait that they had found in its outer box sitting in one spot on the desk. The box was full of dead ants that had gotten some of the residue, and the others were just following the trail. Since the tube wasn't open, there wasn't enough to go around to kill them all (some usually stick around that have to be cleaned up, but most go back to the colony to feed others and to die). Since you only need small quantities placed near the trail, there is no need to cover large areas like you do with spray insecticides. So no putting a large amount of insecticide into the environment.

The absolute best there is.
I've tried every brand of ant-nest-killing gel I could find, and this one is BY FAR the most effective. The ants go crazy over it and gobble it up. Within 12 hours the entire nest is dead.Terro is too runny and dries up quick like glue, after which the ants won't touch it. I had to keep reapplying it and it took almost a week for the nest to die.The ants showed NO interest in the Raid gel I tried. Raid is worthless.Combat Max gel, on the other hand, is not too runny and not too thick, doesn't dry too fast and, even after it does, the ants still swarm it and gnaw away at it. The other cool thing about Combat Max is that the ants simply vanish. With Terro the ants get sick, hang around the spot where you've laid it, and die there in a nasty-looking congealed mess of hardened ant gel and ant corpses. But the ants who eat Combat Max gel take it back to the nest and they all die there.

Works very well
This is one of the few products with an active ingredient that will kill carpenter ants.I believe carpenter ants can detect some poisons in bait and will avoid them rendering it useless. Fortunately this isn't one they can detect. It's spring here and I started noticing carpenter ants foraging in my house. I've used this stuff before and was effective so I bought it again. It did take a little longer than it did in the past (about 2 weeks) but I eventually started seeing fewer and fewer living ants and more lifeless husks to now where they are no more.Once they find a pile of this they all jump on it and seem to love it. Though I believe this is a sweet product and it may depend on the time of the season for what they are looking for for food. Sweets or more protein.Edit 6/10/19 - Had another instance or carpenter ants. Fed them two big glops of this and within a week was seeing dead ants again. This stuff does work well.

This combat ant gel bait works great
Ihad ants for months, trying everything to get rid of them. Finally found this Combat Amy bait gel online and after a few days of use, the ants were gone. All of them. I just put the gel in out of the way corners and in old ant bait containers around my house. It worked. It's now been over six months, I repeated after 4 months and they are still gone. I will continue to order and use this.
