Avanchy Baby Plates Divided Bamboo with Suction for Babies Kids Toddler Food with Silicone Spoon for Feeding (Green)

Well I got this for Christmas for my little. but let's face it... also for myself.My son is just over 13mo now and we already had a few bowls prior. mostly things we received from our shower. While everything seemed to work as well as the next, I didn't feel particularly attached to any of them. Most of the ones we already had were plastic, had a tendency to stain, and stuck as well as the next bowl (honestly, I don't feel like any of the suction bowls seem to really suck any better than any other, not when you've got even a partially intelligent and curious child.)Benefits to the bowl:it's beautiful.the bamboo is high quality. durable. stain resistant.I found the plate separation very useful.The rubber (or plastic?) is easy to keep clean.Suction functions as well, if not slightly better than others I have tried.I like that the suction cup also is removable too. As my son gets older, unless it's a messier food, we usually leave the suction cup off now. I think this gives the bowl more longevity.A little on the pricier end, but for the quality and the aesthetics, you get what you pay for. This is now the only plate that we use. While I don't think you'll find it to be a "miracle bowl," for suction or cleaning, I recommend it highly simply in quality, durability and aesthetics. If these things are important to you, you'll probably love it as much as I do.

I am confused as to why this plate doesn't have a higher overall review, and I wish I could give a higher review in order to make up for those whiny customers. From what I can see, there are a bunch of complainers and whiners about a really nice baby product for no good reason. First of all, we've had the Avanchy suction bowl for over a year and use it every day. The suction works great, and even better if you wet the surface a little before sticking it on. The bamboo is high quality, and we even condition it with a bit of olive oil over night to keep the wood looking nice after washing it out.When I went to look at buying the plate (we were so satisfied with the bowl), I was surprised at the amount of negative reviews (e.g. "plate is too small!"-um.... It's actually a perfectly portion sized plate for my TWO YEAR OLD WHO'S IN THE 90TH PERCENTILE FOR SIZE!, or..."plate doesn't suction well enough!"- um... I have absolutely no problem sticking it down, and actually pulled pretty hard and couldn't get it up without pulling on the release tab) wah! wah! wah!And on top of the amazing-ness of this plate, the suction portion can be removed when your child outgrows it, and can be used as a nice decorative piece, or as a nut snack plate for a wine and cheese dinner party! You definitely get your money's worth!

Was looking for a plate the is the right size the my sons highchair top and this fits perfect. It also sticks great. It sometimes un suctions but it takes a lot longer then some of the other bowls I have. Only downfall is you can wash this in the dishwasher

love love love Avanchy bamboo plates, bowls and spoons. This is my second purchase and I could not be happier.On the product, I love how sturdy the bowls and plates are. They are made of bamboo that is super smooth and sand easy to clean, I have put all different combinations of foods and they do not stain. The silicone suction really works, once it is suctioned to the counter even I have a hard time removing it, but thankfully the suction ring is perfectly design with a tab for easy removal. I would recommend Avanchy to any parent.I been using Avanchy bamboo plates, bowls and spoons now for almost 3 months and they look brand new.

This plate is beautiful! I was impressed with the presentation and packaging as soon as I receieved it. I purchased this plate as an alternative to the plastic high chair plate. It suctions well; baby can remove it if it is pulled hard enough but for the most part doesn't mess with it. It is easy to clean (just have to ensure to scrub around all the grooves/dividers). The silicone suction is removable for cleaning which helps keep it even cleaner. We have used this plate 2-4 times a day for the past several days, so it has been handwashed a lot (I don't have a dishwasher), and we have had no issues with durability. I would love to see it available with white silicone to better match my dining ware, but I don't plan go purchase another because $20 is very expensive for an infant plate, and I almost didn't purchase it because of the price. Overall, I am happy with this product.

... it also keeps the kid from chucking the whole plate on the floor. So, a few other things:-The plate is very aesthetically pleasing and it's nice to have at least a few kid things in my home that don't make me feel like I'm living in a Chuck E Cheese.-The plate and spoon are both very sturdy, smooth and well-made. No snags or rough spots.-Not sure if this is an intended feature, but a grown up can easily remove the suction ring for more thorough cleaning.-The portion sizes are actually really helpful for me as I am still baffled by how little food children actually require at a meal.-I wish it was five dollars cheaper... but that being said, I still consider it money well spent.Thanks suction plate!

My daughter has been using these dishes for her children daily if not three times a day for over four years with just one dish, first the 4 1/2 year old and now continues with the 17 month old, these are expensive but well worth the price when looking for durability and functionality. The kids are able to easily use due to the fact that they stay stuck to the table and are made of natural materials.
