Great for kids and people that use a low draw weight for target practice.
I love these bows. I am an assistant coach for my sons archery team, elementary through high school, and these bows are required for NASP (National Archery in Schools Program) teams and tournaments. The school has around 40 bows so that students do not have to buy their own bow (though many do, especially archers in their second season and beyond). The other coaches and I can adjust the draw weight to suit everyone from small 5th graders to big Seniors in high school in minutes using just an allen wrench. At the distances that we shoot, 10 and 15 yards, they have enough power to be very accurate. The draw length is variable with no adjustments. The archers just pull back to the corner of their mouth. I am 6'2" and have no problem with having enough draw length, even though my regular recurve has a 32" draw length and this is listed at up to 30".This is NOT a hunting bow, it is a target bow. A hunting bow should have at least 40lbs draw weight, while this bow is adjustable between 10 and 20lbs. This is also not a bow for shooting at Olympic target distances, which are up to 50 meters for a compound bow and 70 for a recurve. A 20lb draw weight is just not going to be enough to get enough accuracy at that distance. At an elite level a compound bow should have at least a 50lb draw weight. What this bow IS is a perfect bow for school competition and a perfect beginner target bow for kids. These things are extremely sturdy, are consistent, and can grow with young archers as they get stronger and need a longer draw length and weight. They extremely affordable, especially for young archers that will not need to upgrade their bow for several years. My family has two of these bows, one for my son and one for my wife so she can practice with us. We love them. Genesis also makes the GenX bow with a higher draw weight range, but they are not allowed in NASP competitions, and archers looking to compete outside of NASP will probably want a more precision bow by the time they outgrow this one.

Amazing value and versatility
Great for my 12 year old son as a beginner bow. Easy enough for him to pull and heavy enough to develop strength with multiple reps. I also shot it with ease and have draw length of 29 on a Mathews Z7 definitely an awesome bow for the money and a good tool to introduce archery to the family or just practice form for an adult. I'm planning on putting a sight, peep, nock and arrow rest to help my son get used to a hunting bow setup.

Excellent bow for amatuers of all ages and genders
We got my daughter this bow for Christmas. It is light weight to handle and the draw is perfect for her, 13 year old. We had her take a beginning archery class to learn good habits from the start. The class had about 2 dozen people in it that ranged in age from 6-42. Everyone in the class used the genesis bow and after an hour of instruction, all shot very well. This bow is a great equalizer, kids can shoot as good or better than adults on the same field. The product is meant to be shot straight out of the box, no tuning necessary. No add ons necessary either, can't have any in the NASP competitions anyway. Great starter bow, builds kids confidence immediately. My daughter is hooked on archery now. I saw many adults shooting this bow with great results. I don't see a need for any other bow unless you are hunter. What a great instrument!

Great bow, albeit expensive
Genesis is a well known bow maker and this bow is another quality product of theirs. My child is in high school and this was the recommended bow. I believe this is also the bow used for junior state championships. The workmanship is great and there is nothing negative to say about this bow except that is on the expensive side.

One Bow Fits All!
Bottom line first - I highly recommend this one bow that the whole family, big and small, will be able to shoot and have fun with right out of the box. PERFECT for one size fits all bow for target shooting. My kids archery teacher recommended this as a family bow and he was right. It's truly a one bow fits all. My daughter, son and I can all use it. I'm surprised I enjoy using it set at the draw weight for my son. To compare, his Lil' Banshee Youth Compound bow feels like a tiny toy in my hands. What makes this bow so awesome as a family bow is not only is the draw weight adjustable. the draw length is however far you pull back. Doesn't matter if you're small with short arms or tall with long arms, it just fits. If your kids are stronger (over age 10) it's worth spending the extra $10-15 on amazon for the Genesis Pro model with the option for higher draw weight and adding an easily removable and adjustable stop (for draw length). This bow is the standard/official school archery bow and I can see why. Any one, any size can use it and we find it VERY accurate. Groupings are consistent for all three of us. It comes ready to shoot with a built in arrow rest and a nock already installed. It also comes with an allen wrench to adjust the draw weight. It comes set at the max, 20lbs. We had to open it up a few turns to lower the draw weight for the kids. It feels rugged and indestructible.I love that I was able to buy one bow for both kids and didn't have to buy two bows set up for their very different sizes. That makes this bow a tremendous value. They'll be able to use it in competitions too, which is the reason I bought it in the first place. This bow cost me $60 less than a beautiful 35 lb, 60" recurve I bought for myself prior to finding out that Genesis bows exist. I'm the only one big enough to shoot the recurve which is a shame but we can all take turns at the Genesis without even having to adjust it between shooters. I realize that a 20 lb compound is not comparable to a 35 lb recurve but I get much tighter groupings with the Genesis bow and it's easier and more fun to shoot. Practicing with the Genesis is making me a better shot on the recurve so I use both. It's also nice to not have to string the Genesis every time and unstring it when done. There's a reason after school programs use this bow. The quality and value is obvious. For you and this kids, this is the bow to get. If it's just for the kids and they are really small, the Genesis mini is probably a better option. If it's just for a adults, spend the extra $10-15 on Amazon and get the Genesis pro.
