Great overall
My husband was looking for a scanner that wasn’t super expensive but not really cheap. This one is a good in between. I like how you can save codes if you happen to forget, you can also save your car for the future

Great addition
I have a Creader 310+ scanner that works specifically with my BMW. I had Carista and it worked wonderfully. When the Bluetooth adapter became obsolete recently, I realized that I need an alternative to read more than my car. As my better half and my immediate family don’t drive BMWs, the Foxwell is just what I needed. I did have a 624 with the Touchscreen, but returned it once I saw that the 640 available for a much lower price! While the Touchscreen was very nice, the button layout of this model is very easily memorized. Being able to download many other brands to the sd card was so easy! I had the Foxwell app on my computer from the other one. The program immediately activated it and I was able to select brands that I may come in contact with at some point. It comes up with the same codes as my Creader! I am very happy to have this scanner to ease my mind about check engine lights! It allows to do more DIY maintenance (with YouTube) instead of going to a shop:dealership for relatively easy fixes/repairs.

Good overall but the instruction could have been better.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I was able to use this scanner to reset the VSA warning light on my 2006 Acura TL. However, I feel that the instruction manual could have been better. I had to rely on a YouTube video for what I need to do.

Great value!
This scanner has already paid for itself. I have used it to run diagnostics and make sure that all our family’s vehicles are code-free.I recently used it to put our 2023 BMW X3 into “workshop” mode. That’s a mandatory step before you can replace the brake pads and or rotors of that vehicle. Once in workshop mode, I was able to remove the old rotors, install the new ones, and safely compress the pistons in the brake caliper, after removing the brake pads. I would not have been able to do that brake job had I not bought this scanner. To think that I bought it solely because I got tired of running to the auto parts store whenever one of our vehicles had a code and it wound up saving me at least $500 in labor costs for the brake job because I was able to do it myself. I imagine there’ll be more jobs that it saves me money on. I HIGHLY recommend this scan tool.

First Foxwell Product.
And the last time I’ll buy a Foxwell product. I bought this thing and updated it. I also tried to register it on their site company’s site, which did not work. I tried to update it on the company’s site but it just kept saying “no SD card inserted” even though the scanner does not have an SD card slot.So since it connected to wifi and it said it updated I went to try it on my 1999 Dodge Dakota and it says there’s no connection. Ok, maybe the Dodge is too old or the OBD port is broke. So I tried using it on my 2016 Toyota RAV4 and again, will not connect. I have two other scanners that work fine on the Toyota and the Dodge. I bought this because I needed a bi-directional scanner but it won’t even recognize that it’s plugged into a vehicle. It’s an expensive paper weight and I’m returning it ASAP.

Great gadget
My husband loves this. Works great on the vehicles. He can figure out exactly what's wrong with our cars.

Not what I expected
I hoped it would help diagnose and reset the brakes on my 2007 Jeep Commander Limited 5.7 Hemi after a complete brake job which included: pads, rotors, calipers and master cylinder as well. Bleed my brakes countless times in hopes that that was the issue, to then buy this device to hope it would assist in getting the trapped air out with the help of the ABS. Unfortunately, it only engaged the right side of the vehicle and not the left so there is no way to remove any trapped air and reset it to factory to get the jeep back up and moving. I’m at a loss and wasted money on buying this. Even updated the system on it that only updates if you have a PC to plug it into (will NOT work on Mac or chromebooks). Would have returned it but it’s passed the return window. Wasted money on this product
