Nice Kit, Good Price, Great Storage
You can buy a more expensive or a cheaper tool to crimp connectors. This one has multiple heads so you use the RIGHT crimp for the job not some one size fits maybe tool. The quick change heads make this a better choice than fooling with screws on some others. Getting the right crimp and pressure saves on problems done the road or wiring failure. But the tool is ONLY half the solution. Make sure you use quality connectors, the best have an internal adhesive that activates on the shrink tubing for a moisture resistant seal. The really cheap connectors split at the plastic and should be avoided. Also the tinned copper are the best connectors vs. brass type. The tool will work with all types but for best result use a quality connector and a quality crimp tool.

This is a very good value
I generally don't write reviews unless I feel the need to warn others about a product or give something that really deserves it a shout it. In this case, this is a shout out for this tool.We recently started building wiring harnesses in house and we needed a tool that would provide a good crimp on the type of connector you see in the picture. You can spend hundreds of dollars on the TE Amp tools that do this and we bought a couple of them on eBay. We ran across this tool and decided to give it a try. It makes a beautiful crimp and it turns out, the guys like this tool the most because the ratchet handle is the most comfortable to use. We don't need all the crimp die sets that come with this tool, we only use 2 of them. But we just bought our second one of these. We don't use the strippers that come with this either, they are not as good as other brands. But the $39 value of this kit just to make these crimps is worth it to us and we will buy another one to have as a spare.

Mostly Good
The pieces came out of the jaw a few times but I was able to get a good crimp with some heat shrink tubing. Seems decent compared to others other than the $150 set.

Good but not perfect
I used it for some pin connectors and it worked well, although you need to make sure to have the connector in the correct direction. I needed to crimp some heavy duty ring terminals, I changed to the proper fittings, put the terminal in the jaws and started to crimp only to have the fitting slip rather than crimp. I tried multiple times to get it to crimp and it would always slip out. After flipping the top and bottom it worked, that tells me there's an issue with quality. The ratchet release could use a longer lever, if you realize that you have the connector in backwards after ratcheting down just one click too far, it's difficult to get it to release. The stripper is basically junk. The spring keeps falling off and doesn't work to actually open the stripper, there is too much friction to open it, just junk. Don't buy it for the stripper. The case is ok, but the fittings don't fit in their slots well and tend to fall into the hole where you can't get them out without a needle nose. Depending on what you have on the crimper when you put it in the case, it's possible the extra fittings won't fit anywhere.
