Does the Job
I was replacing an old mirror of similar design which had become unserviceable. This one is an excellent mirror for the bathroom. It extends easily and offers a simple mirror or a magnifying mirror. Recommended.

Impressive quality and nice mechanism
I bought this Wenko model to replace a more expensive Wenko Elegance - the arm of which a little elf managed to damage. The more expensive model is here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wenko-Power-Loc-Elegance-Telescopic-Cosmetic/dp/B001B6T3WII've bought Wenko products before and I've been impressed by their, for the price, high quality German design and manufacture. I wasn't disappointed with this mirror.I was hoping that I would be able to re-use the drill holes but unfortunately this wasn't the case. The mountings for this Wenko model as different, not just in terms of spacing, when compared to the premium model: the fittings here are basic screw through the hole into wall type fittings and not the load bearing fittings in the more expensive model. The screw holes are also visible and not hidden behind a premium looking fitting mechanism.Aside from the difference in fittings - and the differences in style - I am though stunned by the very similar quality of this product compared to its more expensive counterpart. As far as I can tell, the two mirror/head units are identical both in terms of the mirror housing and the mirror glass. Although the box for this product advertises a ø17cm mirror, my measurement reads ø16cm - identical to the Elegance model. The glass also produces the same quality of image as the more expensive model. I am not able to see any significant distortion on the 1:1 image side of the mirror but, like with the more expensive Wenko product, there is distortion at mid range (about 9 to 10 inches away) on the 3x magnification side of the mirror. It is a perfectly acceptable level of distortion in my opinion and it does not at all get in the way of shaving or, I'm told, applying makeup. The non magnified side of the mirror is as close to distortion free as I can appreciate. The arm extends to just under 50cm - actually to about 49 cm at a strong stretch (pun intended).I haven't found any problem at all with a wonky mechanism that some other reviewers have reported. The arm sits straight and stable wherever I place both in terms of extension and in terms of rotational positioning. It is obviously important to fix the mounting to the wall as straight as possible so that there is no tilt but if I can do this, with my terrible DIY skills, then most people should be able to do it. The mechanism is actually very smooth in terms of extension, horizontal rotation of the arm and also the rotation (swivel and vertical flip) of the mirror. The mirror and the arm stay put in all of the positions I've tried until they are moved. At this price - just over £12 - the mirror is a steal and all the more so given the similarities, aside from the lack of premium styling and lack of load bearing fixings, to its more expensive sibling.

Clearly made on a budget
For the price it's not bad. It was packaged fairly well but it looks like the screws may have marked one of the extention bars. The main issue I have with the build quality of these are the fixings to the bars either end of the scissor action are only belt double on themselves and aren't shaped items like a P clip. This simple fix would make them a lot more sturdy.

Invaluable and easy to fit
This is perfect for the bathroom, i have one fitted above the basin for shaving and also one fitted(upside down)by the bath so that i can even have a shave whilst in the bath. Being disabled and unable to stand very long these have been invaluable. Very easy to fit, it comes with everything you need in the way of screws, rawlplugs and easy to follow instructions.Fitting this upside down is no problem, i just make sure that the mirror is tightened every now snd again, but i tend to do this with both mirrors anyways. For the price of it this it is easily worth the money, highly recommend.

Good solid product
The extending arm is much more solidly-constructed that I had expected for the price and the mirror is quite large at 16.2 cm diameter ( within the frame ). The arm hinges at the bracket end and extends out to about 37 cm.From the scant verbiage on the packaging I get the impression that the product was made by Wenko in Germany, which is a pleasant surprise. Two chromed screws and wallplugs are included and the components come well-packed in a stout cardboard box.An excellent piece of kit at a great price. I just wish that I had bought one 20 years ago...

Lovely mirror
I bought this mirror to replace a very old and broken one we'd had now for a while. This one is well made and was easy to put up. The arm is quite stiff when extending or closing but sturdy and holds well and I'm hoping it'll be better than my last one.
