a helpful guide guide to decrease stress
There is so much info on websites for travel that you can become overwhelmed with what to do in such a short time. This book gives you great suggestions to help prepare you before you go and a day by day plan of places to see and restaurants to try. He also divides the city into zones so you don't waste any time. This book is concise and very well planned to make your vacation stress free.

Takes the work out of traveling with children
This is not Hassan Osman's first travel book, and as with the first, he delivers. Consolidating tons of research as well having traversed the city in real life WITH children allows him to provide a realistic schedule for managing to see all London's kid-friendly highlights in just a few days! Having recently done London with our daughter, I can say that that I specifically appreciated the way each day is broken into a specific "zone" or geographic area. This is much more efficient (not to mention, less tiring) than criss-crossing the city all day long to hit different "must-see" locations. The effort and content is worth 5 stars, I'm just sorry nothing slightly more educational wasn't included. Understanding that many children don't love museums, we still try to include one when we travel. London has a ton of interesting museums including Churchill's War Rooms or the floating HMS Belfast that are appropriate for children of different ages. That-said, the built-in buffer time enables you to add these sites as is most appropriate for your group.

Perfect book for traveling with children OR alone!
I followed the travel book Paris in a Weekend by the same author this summer. All of his recommendations were spot-on for two grandparents traveling with a four year old. Looking forward to a repeat of a perfect vacation with this new book about London in a Weekend. Highly recommend!

One Specific Weekend Itinerary; Travel with Children
H. Osman has a pleasant and clear writing style in his short travel itineraries. As a fairly frequent traveler to London and Paris and Rome, I can recommend his books to couples traveling with children 6-pre-teen years. The best plans are the product of advanced research and of useful simplification. Mr. Osman has done a reasonable job of doing that for his family and for families with similar interests. As just one example, this guide points out that much of the show relating to the Changing of the Guard can be seen and heard at Horse Guards Barracks, just before the march down to the Palace begins. I agree that this is a good tip for any of us, and is particularly good for families with children. Crowds are less dense and this is a good time to appreciate the color and the uniforms and the horses and their equipment. On the whole, a Friday, Saturday and Sunday can be profitably and pleasurably filled just by following the itinerary.

Easy and exciting read for a busy mum of 3!
I was absolutely taken by how Hassan managed to make an overwhelming city like London seem so easy to navigate. I grew up in the UK and now live in the USA, we have three kids but avoided visiting London as a family thinking my kids are too little (9,5,5) to make it enjoyable with the stress of travelling/ FOMO and FOBO (read the book to learn more about this!).Now I am seriously considering to add London as our next destination. We typically travel to the Middle East every summer from the USA and make a day or two of connections in European cities to explore or just rest with the kids (my kids are 9,5,5 years old). Having a book like this with very easy to follow instructions makes a plan to visit London doable yet exciting and stress free. Hassan seems to have researched the destinations very well and I like how he threw in real life examples of what he did with his children. There is just the right amount of information you need (I like how he added the "the time needed" per attraction, which many books/reviews tend to exclude). This book will not disappoint you if you want access information and steps to the best kid friendly attractions in London.
