Button Media Remote Control for Steering Wheel Portable Wireless Bluetooth Car Remote Phone Calls Music GPS Controller

Bought this middle of June to replace a pair of controllers that attach around the steering wheel and had starting having issues. One worked when it wanted to and the other seemed to have completely stopped responding. I made sure the area on my steering wheel was big enough to take these (it was) and after discovering the 3M tape doesn't work with the silicone skin, I stuck them directly to the steering wheel. The old unit had 5 wires (+, -, key1, key2 & aerial) The new unit only had 4 as the aerial was built in which also made it easier to hide. It's been running for just under a month and so far it's still on its 1st charge. I could wait for it to stop responding and then charge it but I'll probably just plug in one of my battery banks for a few hours this weekend so I know they're good to go.

Instructions are limited to what's written on the back of the controller (which is just a re-purposed remote unit). I assume the two wires (yellow and grey) should be connected together and to my (single) head unit wire. Instructions say "go to DVD player steering wheel setup menu" (mine is a JVC KW-M855-BW) But despite looking through the manual, and trying every option under settings, I cannot find such a menu. If you can help with this, I will be willing to reassess my review!

Easy to install and works very well after it's programmed to the head unit.Holding cups is a waste of time as the double-sided tape don't stick to it.Overall I think it's a good product.Not sure about battery life as it's too soon to say.

I have fitted an ATOTO car head unit. It works seamlessly with the head unit. Setup is very simple and works with a very minimal acceptable delay.

got this to install with an aftermarket android radio, as the car did not have controls on the wheel. they work great and are easy to set up, battery lasts ages and havent had to recharge yet.

These buttons work great, although it's not a plug and play system, it involves, if done correctly which I highly recommend, soldering and a knowledge of how your dashboard connectors work.

Put these in my Defender! Gradually bringing it up to modern day standards. The blue tooth feature is a boon as no wires to route. Just make sure your sound system is compatible.
