Marble board is quite heavy and large (21"x21"). Pieces are relatively heavy. Love this set. A very eye-catching center piece. A great large set if there is going to be a small audience observing the game.

If you desire a highly prized, historically significant marble chessboard and solid brass pieces from India, famous for marble art and The Taj Mahal, you should consider this very heavy museum grade masterpiece. I had a issue with my order that the manufacturer in India quickly solved. Very good communication and good people. Would highly recommend.A couple things in the listing that are incorrect, the squares are exactly 50.8mm or 2 inches and the Kings are exactly 3 and 5/16 inches tall, not 3 inches. The kings weigh a massive 120 grams.If I could find a criticism somewhere in this set, it might be their choice in felt under the pieces. They use an almost invisible thickness felt so it looks like the brass pieces sit directly on the marble. I may someday add an additional layer of premium thick chess felt to the bottoms of the pieces. Maybe. Hard to tamper with perfection.I purchased this set with my own money and have a critical eye for details. This set is wonderful and showcases the fine museum quality art that this area of the world is known for. Would make a fine gift for any occasion.This is my second review, Amazon list my first one.
