Nothing is as great as a natural bristly brush! Great for fine, thinning hair!
Love, Love, Love this brush! I had been using a brush with stiffer bristles and it was rather hard on my fine, thin hair. This brush is stiff enough to get down to the scalp, but not so stiff that it will damage my baby fine hair. The handle could be shaped better, but that's not enough of an issue for me to drop one star. Now I can brush my hair 100 strokes each day without worrying about possibly breaking it off.You can't go wrong buying this brush if your hair is fine (and thin).

Not Quite Like My Old One!
I bought this brush to replace the same model number I've had for several years. Well, not exactly to replace, but with the thought of having another on hand while I still can get one, given the ever-accelerating disappearance of good quality from the markets.I think I was a bit late. This brush has much stiffer bristles and there are fewer of them. They're not as evenly set and feel sharp to the scalp (pleasantly so, in a way) -- with my eyes shut I'm not sure I'd be able to tell the difference between this brush and my $5 drugstore brush (black bristles are cheaper?). On some of the tufts of bristles the edge bristles have splayed way out -- much more than any of the bristles on the old brush. A few bristles have shed, though that could be something a new brush does for all I know. Some of the bristles are set in with the follicle end up. Can't see any follicles on the old brush. That, the splaying bristles, and their sharpness and coarseness seems to me to suggest that the rot is beginning to set in. I have to admit that the new brush doesn't seem to pull out any more hair than the old one did.Bye the bye, the fancy little leaflet says to wash the brush in mild detergent and dry it bristles down. A few persons here seemed to be uncertain as to whether you could wash a natural bristle brush with the bristles set in wood. My old brush has had probably hundreds of washings -- unscented dish liquid, a bit of finger-grooming to work the detergent in, a fast rinse with lukewarm water, a quick blot with a towel, and lately I've taken to standing the brush in the dish drainer. I've also occasionally rinsed with rubbing alcohol to dry it faster, in the hope of preserving the wood for a while yet. Whatever the bristles on the old brush are set in with, the alcohol doesn't seem to bother it.

True quality. Easy on the hair.
Bristles stay in place and dont fall out. Previous Kent brush lasted over 5 years before showing signs of wear.
