Not that I know, is a oil based product so don't mix well with water... You can try it if you want but it will work as it is

I don't know why this guy is complaining. Murrays is great. I use it for special occasions or as a last resort because of how hard it is to take out of your hair but it's bulletproof. That's the sole purpose of pomade. To not get out of your hair so easily. The first time is definitely a hassle because it's an oil based pomade but eventually you learn some trick to get it out faster.

Idk you can try. Use olive oil or some other oil to loosen it. You might have to use a toothbrush for thinner hair around your edges.

Q: been using Murray's for 30 yrs! it always held great, but not stiff. the last can I got, it is softer and doesn't hold worth a darn. it is not the "lite" version, but regular old Murray's. I swear they changed the formula or something. Anybody else notice this?

This is my second tin of Murray's. I loved the first one, but this one is as you said Val, softer and it doesn't look like the first one I used. It is more "creamy" appearing, opaque. I see that make an Xtra heavy pomade. Perhaps I should try that.
