I haven't used these yet, but I have checked them out and the light on each unit is functioning and bright. These worked right out of the case, but I was pleasantly surprised to see each kit came with 3 extra batteries! The case is compact and stays closed tight. The tips fit securely and don't wobble around, but are easy to remove/switch out. Using the longest tip (the one with the little rubber part on the end), is a little over the length of 2 q-tips from end to end; the handheld part is smaller than expected but that's a plus since you're trying to see what you're doing. If you've already been using q-tips to try to extract tonsil stones, I think you'd be happy with this product. I see no reason this wouldn't work loads better than the q-tip method, but I'll update my review if it turns out otherwise.

Anyone that suffers from tonsil stones as I do knows they're completely disgusting. However, this product makes removing them farrrrr easier than any method I've tried previously. Gargling saltwater is a joke, and it's impossible to see what you're doing when hacking away at your tonsils with a Q-Tip. This nifty little tool illuminates the back of your mouth, making it easy to see what you're doing. I definitely poked my tonsil with it on purpose (yeah, yeah, I know you're not supposed to do that) but I could see the light INSIDE my tonsil almost like a little x-ray for those stupid stones which don't stand a chance anymore! I am rambling at this point, but super satisfied with this product, especially for the price.

Easy to use, but would like a longer profile

This works. It is extremely uncomfortable to dig into your own throat to dislodge the ick. However, the light and the changeable tools make it possible. My breath is better, my sleep is better.

The tips need to be broader and rounder. The current tip are a little too small and feel like I am using a needle when pressing on the tonsil. It makes it impossible to apply pressure on the tonsil to release the stone.

Tonsil stones can be painful to remove, this tool makes it easier and the lighted base lets you do it one handed.

Didn't work out of the box. It's so small and fragile I almost broke it taking apart to replace the batteries. Really a joke of a product, I can't imagine this being useful?

This was a lifesaver. Easy to use and saved me a trip to the Dr.
