10 years old and still work great
I have two 8 x 6 shades on my porch since June of 2014. They get rolled up and down almost every day in the summer. The only thing is, I wish I could buy a new cord for them. The cords are getting a little frayed and a lot short.

Really nice
The only complaint I would mention is that it was rolled up with a huge wrinkle down the middle. Hopefully it will relax and go away. Does keep the room looking and feeling alot cooler in the summer.Added bonus is we can see out side but you can't see inside. It is about w inches too short on each side. Will have to put some type of curtain up with a vvalance. This comes with a crank to lower curtain shade.. it's quite large and not very pretty looking.. could be improved with a different type of rolling system

Instructions somewhat vague, prepare for quite a lot of shedding.
Review of CASTLECREEK Window Blind Shade, Roller Sun Shade Cover, Sunscreen Roll-Up, Sand, 4X6' & 6X6',I replaced my old cellular blinds with these to use on the windows in my sunroom. These, I hope, will not succumb to the heat as the others did over time, and it caused them to come apart from the top. These roll up and I chose to install them on the outsides of the frames and just above the tops of the frames. They have an option to affix them to the ceiling as well, but mine would not have fit that way as well. The rippling in the photos did fall out after a while of hanging.I found the instructions to be a little vague. The 6X6' blinds I found that it would have been extremely nice to have help installing. I am no handyman, but I installed these by myself. It would have been nice to have some templates for the screws. I found it very difficult to get especially the right side affixed given the way the mounts are made. It is quite difficult to get a screwdriver into the right position. The right side is the one that mounts the mechanism to install the hand crank. Hand cranking these up and down is not a fast process. They do a good job of filtering out the hot sun, yet they are sheer enough while standing right inside to make out some of what is outside of the window, as long as you are standing close enough. I liked that these are far more reasonably priced that many options. I am finding that with each cranking of up or down that there is quite a bit of shedding of the blind's material. I hope this stops after a little while and does not result in these falling apart. So far, I am overall pleased with them. I deducted 1 star for the poor instructions, poorly designed mounting hardware, and the shedding.I hope this helps someone to decide whether to try this product.

Easy to install.
Bought 2 different sizes to approximate the size of the openings on my southern exposure front porch. The mounting hardware is of good quality and does not need to be exact since the mounting holes are elongated. The only issue I have is a breeze pushes it like a sail. I need to find something to clip onto the bottom to hold it down.

Quality varies.
I purchased a total of two of these but not at the same time. After the first one was installed, I liked it so well I decided I wanted another one. I placed the order for the second one on the day the first was installed. Unfortunately, the second order is not as nice as the first. It is not as sheer, it is darker in color and the fabric is shorter in width by about two inches. It is also very stretched out on one side. I would ask for them to replace it for me but there is no apparent way to do so. Not sure if it would have made any difference had I ordered the two at the exact same time. Maybe I just got lucky on the first one but the quality is definitely different between the two.

but looks great when it's down
We had a 96" wide, western facing living room window for which I was having trouble finding affordable blinds. This roll-up sunscreen arrived and saved the day! My husband and son installed it under our valance, so it's hidden when we're not using it, but looks great when it's down. Because it's originally designed to mount from the ceiling or the windows top edge, my husband did have to alter it slightly to mount on the sides of the window (because it the window was a couple inches smaller than the 100" width of the shade). It only took a few minutes for him to do this, and it works great! We're really pleased that it still lets in some light and scenery, as well as fresh air when the window is open. Thanks!

Holds heat
I bought these to block the east sun coming into our commercial building. The waiting room was 8 degrees warmer than the rest of the building. I bought these blinds to block the sun, therefore reducing the heat. Let me tell you these blinds do the exact opposite! Reduced sun, yes however they amplify the heat. When the blinds are completely down the waiting room is now 15 degrees hotter!!! It's awful. I went up front and rolled the blinds up and the front room cooled down within a few minutes. These blinds look good, mechanically work well, and can see through them too but not practical for my intended use.
