EXCELENT PAINT, EASY PAINT WITH; appears be very durable Highly recommend
PAINTED TOP OF 4 40 FT CARGO CONTAINERS. PRODUCT WENT ON EASILY AND LOOKS GREAT. IT DID COVER RUST WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. BELIEVE IT WILL HOLD UP WELL. 1 GAL OF PAINT COVERED THE TOP OF 40 FT CONTANER WITH A LITTLE LEFT OVER EXCEPT FOR ONE WHICH WAS REALLY RUSTY. HAD ENOUGH FROM ONE OF OTHERS TO FINISH THE TOP. EXPENSIVE PAINT. ONE COAT COVERED WELL. WE HAD SOME RUST AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOORS ON CONTAINERS AND USED SOME OF LEFT OVER PAINT TO COVER THE RUSTED DOORS. lOOKS REALLY GOOD. WE HAD ONE GALLON ARRIVE AND HAD SOME DENTING ON THE CAN. THEY HAD USED PLASTIC RINGS TO HOLD THE LIDS ON AND NO PAINT LOST DUE TO SHIPPING. ONE OF THE HANDLES WAS DAMAGED. WE USED AN EMPTY CAN TO AID IN CARRYING PAINT UP A LADDER. tHANK GOODNESS THE RINGS WERE USED TO KEEP THE LIDS CLOSED. I CAN SEE HOW OTHERS COULD HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH DAMAGED CANS AND SPILT PAINT. THE PAINT DOES NOT WANT TO COME OFF OF YOUR SKIN OR NAILS. glOVES A MUST TO USE THIS PRODUCT. i HAD TO USE A STAINLESS STEEL SCRATCHER TO REMOVE PAINT FROM MY ARMS. ACETONE WOULD NOT CUT IT AFTER IT DRIED ON YOU. i HAD TO USE SCISSORS TO SCRAPE THE PAINT OFF MY NAILS. i TRIED TO FREEZE THE PAINT BRUSHES AND ONLY HAD SUCESS WITH SAVING ONE BRUSH. i HAD A LATEX GLOVE ON. I HELD THE PAINT BRUSH IN THE GLOVED HAND AND PULLED THE GLOVE INSIDE OUT WHILE HOLDING THE BRUSH. tHE GLOVE FIT TIGHTLY AROUND THE BRUSH. i PAINTED MOST OF THE PAINT OUT OF THE BRUSH AND THIS WAS THE ONLY BRUSH I WAS ABLE TO REUSE AFTER STORING IN THE FREEZER. IT WAS STILL GOOD AFTER 2 DAYS. i DID LOOSE ALL THE OTHER BRUSHES. AFTER PAINTING ONE OF THE CARGO CONTAINERS, SOMEONE BEING HELPFUL DECIDED TO PRESSURE WASH THE TOP OF THE CONTAINER THAT HAD BEEN PAINTED 2 DAYS EARLIER. LUCKY FOR HIM THE PAINT STAYED ON OR HE WOULD HAVE PUT THE NEXT COAT ON TOP OF THAT CONTAINER. I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE PAINT FROM HANDS IF I GOT IT RIGHT AWAY WITH ACETONE. ONCE IT DRIED IT WAS VERY DIFFCULT TO REMOVE. FROM SKIN. I FOUND BAKING SODA WORKED BEST AFTER IT HAD DRIED ON THE SKIN. I PURCHASED 2 GALLONS FIRST TIME TO SEE HOW IT WORKED AND BOUGHT 2 MORE GALLONS ABOUT 4 DAYS LATER. THE PAINT WITH DAMAGE TO THE CAN RODE AROUND WITH UPS ABOUT 4 EXTRA DAYS BEFORE IT ARRIVED. wE WILL BE RETURNING IN THE SPRING TO CHECK THE CONTAINERS AND TO PAINT THE SIDES WITH SAME TYPE PAINT. iT TAKES SEVERAL DAYS TO GET THE PAINT , SUGGEST YOU ORDER A FEW DAYS BEFORE YOU PLAN TO PAINT TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE IT. i HAVE A REALLY GOOD 1950'S SEARS CRAFTMAN SPRAY PAINTER. i WAS AFRAID TO USE THE PAINT IN THE SPRAYER BECAUSE OF THE DIFFICULTY IN CLEANING THE PAINT AFTER TIME PASSED. IT IS THE BEST PAINT I HAVE USED ON METAL AND ONE COAT COVERED. BENDING OVER AND PAINTING THE TOP OF A CARGO CONTAINER ONCE WAS ENOUGH. THANK GOODNESS ONE COAT COVERED. tOLD MY HUSBAND IF THEY PUT THE STUFF IN FINGERNAIL POLISH THERE WOULD BE NO CHIPPING OR PEELING OF FINGERNAIL POLISH. . tHE PAINT APPEARS TO BE REALLY DURABLE. AND REMAINED ON THE ACCIDENTAL PRESSURE WASHED CONTAINER. WILL UPDATE IN A FEW MONTHS WHEN SEE HOW WELL IT HOLDS DURING THE WINTER. I DONT MIND SPENDING EXTRA MONEY FOR GOOD PAINT AND IF IT STAYS ON FOR 10 YEARS I DONT THINK I WILL BE THE ONE TO PAINT IT AGAIN. PAINTED WTIH A LOT OF DIFFERENT PAINTS AND IF THEY DONT CHANGE THE FORMULA, BELIEVE IT WILL LAST LONGER THAN 10 YEARS EVEN FOR THE RUST PROTECTION

Easy to apply tough coat for rusting steel
I shipped this to my lodge in Alaska to use on steel fuel tanks and I-beams. As we used it, we could tell this is a quality product in the way it spread as we applied it. We used cheap brushes as there is no way we were going to be able to clean a brush after use.The 40 yr. old fuel tanks had flaking paint with rust showing through. We used just a scraper to knock off loose paint and the surface rust. We then gave it three coats. It seemed surprisingly good in the end. There were no rough edges as the paint filled in the gaps where there was no paint remaining. There was no visible rust remaining.I had shipped up the I-beams as deck cargo on the barge. They arrived lightly rusted. We gave them two coats to protect them with no preparation at all. The paint held up as we installed the I-beams into various applications.I saved a lot of money in avoiding a lot of preparation work and I believe this coat is going to hold up to our harsh environment. Time will tell.

Rust Bullet - sticks like crazy!
Rust Bullet - sticks like crazy! Only time will tell but it covers well and still and cures like crazy! Don't get it on your skin because it is very hard to take off if it dries. The product recommends 2-3 coats with dry time of 6 hours in between. I did 4 coats with dry time of 24 hours. Of course I sanded the rust first and cleaned the surface with alcohol!

Handrail Project
My newly installed metal handrails (in March, 2016) have already showing sign of rusting. So, I searched online to find some paints that can protect the handrails and can last a long time without redoing it every 2 or so years. Then I found Rust Bullet products and decided to give a try. I must say the price is not cheap as you could find in local store or big box chain stores (Home depot or Loews). I applied products to my hand-rails in the front porch about a month ago and then in my backyard hand-rails 3 days ago. I prepared the surface of hand rails according to the instruction by lightly sanding it and then wiping clean with tag cloth. I then coated rails with Rust Bullet Standard Industrial Strength Rust Inhibitor. 6 hours later I applied it with second coat of Rust Inhibitor. After another 8 hours, I top-coated with Rust Bullet BlackShell Rust Preventative. So far, it holds up pretty good. It was better than I expected. But, I won't really know until 1 year from know. The only thing I don't like it is that it dries up pretty fast even in 70 degrees temperature. So, I have to pull out a small portion each time and used a lot, a lot of paint brushes. As paint dries up on the brush, it become useless and need a new brush to continue the job.

Great product, best I have ever found for this sort of thing.
This stuff is amazing. Easy to use protects great. I am writing this review because I was so impressed. A couple of thoughts.1) Buy a bigger can unless your project is very small. I resurfaced an old Craftsman tool box. The kind with the red tray for sockets. 1/4 pint allowed me to do the box inside and out and 2 coats on the bottom of the box inside and out. That's it. I should have bought a bigger can, That's what I get for being cheap.2) you can't use a foam brush. Must use bristle brush. I wish I had practiced a little first, took a bit to get the knack of application, drys quick going back over it while drying to smooth not a good idea.. I got some runs because of that, back to bigger can again! 3) OH MY GOSH does this stuff stink!!!! I did it outside on a breezy day and still it was overwhelming. I can't imagine doing it inside. Be advised. Also you must wear water proof gloves to use. It is toxic according to the can. I used the same kind I use when I spray pesticides. Great product, best I have ever found for this sort of thing. Used properly it is safe and works like a charm.
