The thin profile of it is perfect!
We installed it on our horse trailer in the sleeping quarters as the original manufacturer one was poor quality. We did have to make the opening a little wider which is why we bought this one. It's it perfectly to our expectations. It works great, is easy to open and is no longer leaking with this new cover.

Went on very well. However the inside trim piece didn't fit properly. I thought it should fit up over the bottom of the vent. Instead, it just came to it leaving a bit of space in places.
