Lots of power - very little heat
Grabbed one of these recently to drive a little 8" Skar box I picked up. I was looking for something that I could mount in a space underneath the rear seat cushion in my car, near where my battery is located. There's not much airflow there, so I needed something that would push good power but wouldn't overheat no matter how loud and long I wanted to listen. Didn't need a 1ohm stable amp since personally I'm not really a fan of 1ohm sound. Higher resistance at 2-4ohms makes for tighter sound to my ears. This has been perfect! The sound quality is great, the amp has a lot of ability to be tuned to a specific speaker/space and install which is great. The price point is perfect as well. Very happy with this amp and would buy another SoundStream amp again in the future for sure.

Stop looking, you've found your amp.
I picked up this amp to push 2 10" Cadence subs for my wife and while I'm guilty of not reviewing every purchase I make, I couldn't NOT review this little gem. First off, it absolutely pushes rated power. Keep in mind that rated power is based off of 14.4 volts in your cars electrical system, which, for most people is a pipe dream. Most I have seen hover around 13.3 to 13.7 volts of continuous. I benched this amp at 13.5 volts, which is what my wife's 09 Ford Escape XLT pretty much stays at almost all the time. It surprised me, cranking out a continuous 617.3 watts, which is actually slightly above what it should be pushing (607.5). The amp's heat managememt is superb, we pushed it hard for over an hour and a half and it stayed only slightly warm to the touch, and when I say slightly, I mean cooler than holding the back of your hand against your neck for a few seconds. I have no problem telling you that I am 110% satisfied with this amp, and will be recommending it to others. If there were one thing I could say negative about this amp, it would be about the quality of the screws in the terminals, as they are very easy to strip out if you're not careful. In conclusion, if you're looking for solid power and best bang for your buck while retaining fantastic quality, look no further, this amp firmly replaces the Alpine MRP-M500 as best low cost performer for me.

Bad A$$
First of all, I was throughly impressed with the timely manner of shipping! I want to start off with my stereo setup before I get detailed. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab, so space is a constraint when installing an aftermarket stereo setup with subwoofers. Before I purchased this amp, I was running a Power Acoutsik BAMF series 1250 watt 2 channel amp on 2 Pioneer 12 inch TS-SW3041D shallow mount subs in a sealed MDF box under the back seat. I have used Power Acoustik for years starting off 15 years ago as a teenager and could always depend on that brand for the price but this was the first time using them with such limited space. The Power Acoutsik was not pushing those 12s to the potential I know they could handle, also that amp would go into power protection mode due to overheating because it was also mounted under the back seat so ventilation for the amp was a challenge.I installed the Soundstream amp this evening and OMG! I have new highs and lows in regards to the bass spectrum and I couldn't do nothing but smile like a kid in a candy store! The bass was clean, crisp, and pushing those 12s as if I installed a new box with new subs. I couldn't believe the lows I was hearing with those shallow mount subs in a sealed box. The size of the Soundstream amp is perfect for the application of this pickup truck due to space limitations. As I was tuning and testing, this amp did not even get warm or go into protection mode. My Pioneer subs have been awaken! I cannot wait to install a vented box with regular size magnet subs.

Awesome find.
There’s a ton of crappy generic amps that make 1/4 the power they advertise and are nearly 2 feet long. This little guy is not one. It makes the power it advertises. An honest quality amplifier that will last years. *Not to be confused with Soundstorm, they suck.

Best bang for the buck!
This amp is one of the best values for the money, compact enough to easy hide the install, and the sound quality is good! I bought one years ago for another car and its still going strong. This is a second, and I will eventually get a third for another application.

Exactly what I needed
I needed a compact amplifier to power a shallow mount subwoofer hidden in the spare tire compartment of a 2013 VW Tiguan. This fit the bill perfectly. Provides more than enough power to the 4 ohm “400 watt” (no way the sub could handle that kind of power and I doubt I’m sending more than 100 watts to it) sub it’s driving.Being a man, I didn’t bother to read the instructions. If I would have, I might have realized prior to running the bass knob cable that the ends aren’t the same. Make sure you don’t make this same mistake because now I’ll either have to cut and splice the ends or see if I can pull the pins from the connectors and swap them. No way I’m pulling and re-running the whole cable—took at least two hours just to run it the first time. Entirely my fault though so no stars withheld.

Great for motorcycle or when a small tiny amp for in a tiny space is needed... Does NOT like 1 ohm.
This item works ok. Soundstream is not the old Soundstream like they were back in the 80/90'sItem does get very warm under low ohm load but played fairly well. This is a great solution for small setups and areas where you need a tiny amp (motorcycle comes to mind). This item did NOT like pushing 1ohmI would recommend a Cobalt amp made by Orion (Again not the old school Orion, but the performance is very nice at 1/4 of the price of what the old Orion was) I use the 1200w Cobalt and it easily pushes 1ohm and barely gets warm...
