Lens worth buying
Bought several Fuji lenses and love the quality of them but not the prices. Already own the 85mm 1.8 Viltrox and read online tekkie reviews of this lens. Some criticised it for having a clickless aperture ring or a focal distance longer than its Fuji equivalent - however, as I received a £50 gift voucher I purchased it in effect for £215 and am impressed by how good this lens is. Focuses very fast and images are really sharp. Need to stop it down a bit to get the sharpest results - nevertheless I am really happy with my pix even wide open at f1.4. For £265 (compared with £499 for Fuji) this is a bargain and I recommend it to enthusiasts. Professionals may need to pay much more for the very best but I think most amateurs like me will love it.

Excellent lenses and very well priced
I bought a full set of these, the 23mm, 33mm (this one) and the 56mmThe price is significantly lower than the Fuji equivalents, but the results are just great. I've had quite a few very positive reactions on Instagram for some of the shots I've taken using these lenses.I know some people don't like the clickless aperture ring (I'm not keen on it myself), but I have to say I haven't knocked it out of position at all. It may depend on how you hold your camera and which model you have - I used this on the X-T3 and had no issue.Officially these are not weather resistant, but I used them in some pretty heavy rain, putting them under my jacket in between shots. So they got wet, but with a wipe from a micro fibre cloth they were fine. No problems - that's not the same as an official weather resistance rating of course, but I won't hesitate to use any of them in inclement weather. The build quality is excellent, they look good and the results they churn out are really, really good. I'm going to get the 85m lens next - I'm very happy with their quality and having large aperture primes opens a lot of possibilities.

A well built, good quality Fuji-fit lens for not much money
Bought the Viltrox 85mm f1.8 a couple of months ago and was sufficiently impressed with it that I decided to go for the 23mm f1.4 as I wanted a fast general purpose prime lens and wasn't attracted by the cost of the Fujinon version. The design and built quality of the 23mm is very similar to the 85mm - plenty of metal in the construction, an aperture ring, and not too heavy/bulky by comparison with similar lenses. I've found the autofocus to be quiet, accurate and fast - no less so than my Fujinon lenses. Sharpness is generally pretty good though probably not quite as good the Fuji lenses. Overall the lens represents excellent value for money and will, I hope, come in handy in particularly low light situations (night shots for example). But as a general purpose I don't think the sharpness matches my various Fuji lenses, albeit they are slower.

Best bang for your buck
This lens is VERY sharp! The sharpness does drop off in the corners, but not so much that you're concerned about it. I mean it's only near to the edge, and it's the sharpness of the more than 90% of the image that catches your attention. The aperture ring without click stops did concern me until I tried it..... really, nothing to worry about! The aperture ring has a smooth stiffness that says I'm going to stay where you put me.Sure, the Fujifilm 23mm f1.4 beats it by a small amount, but it's more than twice the priceThe Viltrox is definitely the best bang for your buck!

Beast!
I can't compare this to the fuji version of 33mm as I never used it, but this lense is sharp as well as renders the out of focus really well. For low light its a great purchase for less than half the price of the fuji equivalent.Auto focus its FAST even in low light!Would highly recommend if you are on a budget and need a fast brilliant autofocus and you want low great low light performance, 5 stars from me

Superb lens
A superb little lens, it can go a little softer when opened up to 1.4 but what lens doesn't?Very sharp when dropped down a couple of stops, and extremely fast and accurate autofocus

Amazing lens for the price
Everything about this lens is spot on the only minor issue I have is slight vignetting at f1.4 but I have a setting in lightroom that auto corrects this so it doesnt bother me too much. Otherwise I prefer the look it gives me over the actual Fuji lens
