Great beginner rod!
I purchased this fishing rod for my wife. For someone who doesn’t know how to cast this is a good starting point. She still hasn’t used it though haha

The rod is just okay. The reel is super cheap. Not smooth at all. Can find much cheaper combo on sale at Walmart or discount store

Rod joint is too loose for casting
The reel is fine but I had to wrap velcro around the rod section because it came loose about once every 15 casts. It only happened with side arm casting but it shouldn't happen at all...and it wouldnt happen if the joint was a little tighter.
