Formula and serving size changes. A sport nutritionist's perspective.
Edit to original review from January 6, 2024:I have changed my position on the removal of betaine from the formulation. After doing an updated review of the research, it would appear that betaine is not effective for any performance enhancement, especially if one is already taking/using creatine monohydrate in the recommended dose of 3-5 grams per day.In fact, after reviewing the more recent research, betaine in higher doses of 4g and above actually appears to increase blood cholesterol, specifically LDL cholesterol, by 12-14mg/dL, which is quite notable. Thus, after learning of this new evidence, I am changing my negative that I gave the original review regarding betaine removal. I have also changed the following paragraphs that discussed betaine to reflect this updated position.I now rate this 4.5 stars which is an upgrade from my previous 4 stars.*********************I'll start by saying that this is an all-around decent stim free pre-workout. There have been some slight formula tweaks in the past few months that new buyers should be aware of so they can make the most informed decision. When I originally bought this product back in the summer of '23 the formula contained betaine anhydrous and theobromine. The new formulations no longer have these ingredients. I couldn't care less about the theobromine as that's not reliably been shown in research to increase performance by any metric I'd consider meaningful. The removal of betaine I am now indifferent towards/slightly in favor of (as of my edit on 2/15/24>, given the recent evidence on the supplement not having much effect for any performance benefits at all, and likely increasing blood cholesterol (specifically LDL) by 12-14mg/dL at higher doses of 4g and above. The original formula I believe only has 1.25-1.5g of betaine. There were 2 changes with this reformulation with regard to dosing B vitamins. 1) folate is now folic acid, and 2) increased the dose of vitamin B6 to 4,412% of daily value from what was a more reasonable 3,530% of daily value. This change in folate also increased the dose of folic acid from 300 dietary folate equivalents (DFE) to 510 DFE. Not that folate or the B vitamins have much impact on performance in the presence of a well rounded diet, but the switch to folic acid is superior. All in all, the changes aren't likely to be massive with respect to the effects on exercise performance.I also think the flavor is good and can be watered down or concentrated to fit one's preferences.I would eventually love to see an NSF certified for sport or Informed choice/informed for sport 3rd party testing for banned substances. While this has a cGMP seal on the label the additional consumer protection from contamination would be nice.I think a 4.5 start rating is pretty fair for the reasons given above. The dosing of the other ingredients is in line with research and the value is rather good such as L-citrulline being 6 grams. 5 star rating would include getting a 3rd party certificate seal for banned substance testing from informed sport/informed choice or NSF sport.TL;DR: they removed betaine (indifferent/possible positive - see edit above), removed theobromine (indifferent to), increased the vitamin B6 dose (indifferent), and increased folate dose and use folic acid now (positive). No caffeine and great taste make this a go to for later day workouts.

Exactly What It Needs To Be
No complaints about the pink lemonade flavor at all. I saw other reviews and got worried that it was gonna taste awful, and was pleasantly surprised to actually enjoy the flavor! It’s HARD to make 6g of L Citrulline taste decent (it’s a bittery insipid taste on its own). It’s even HARDER to find a pump product that tastes good and has that effective dosage. If you REALLY don’t like the taste, throw in an off brand flavor packet for like $.15 a pop and add some ice. But, ingredient and dosage wise, I’m SUPER happy with this, especially for the price.

Good alternative to high-stim pre
I purchased this product because I’ve been using the Nutricost PRE-X and needed a break from the caffeine. This product does its job. Provides great focus during my workouts. You can dry scoop it or put it in a shaker. It dissolves well either way. The taste is good, no pre-workout aftertaste. What sets this apart is ingredients. I looking for something without caffeine with Huperzine-A and Choline. This product has both. The dosing is appropriate. If you live in an area with high humidity, the product will clump. The clumping hasn’t affected the effectiveness.

Gucci Ingredients, garbage flavor (Peach Mango)
By the time I'm writing this, I've suffered so much by forcing myself to swallow this nasty a** peach mango, PLEASE DON'T GET PEACH MANGO!!! Just don't make the same mistake I did and get some other flavor that they can't mess up like Blue Raspberry. Now into the good. Focus was decent and the pumps were impeccable. I usually work out at night and the caffeine-free is perfect to try to cure my sleep deprivation. The value was also good at a dollar per serving, perfect for a broke college student that is also a gym bro.Once I've recovered, I'll go ahead and try the Blue Raspberry, see how it goes, and give it a review.

Disappointed
No energy given. Felt absolutely nothing. Within an hour of my workout, I felt so tired and had zero energy. I feel like this was just flavored sugar that I was taking. I thought the flavor was great the first time I took it, but it almost gave off a caffinated taste. Every time after, the flavor just sucked. Too overwhelming.I contacted the seller (about everything listed above) and they told me that they won't be able to do anything for me. I would have to pay shipping to return it, possibly pay a restocking fee and on top of that, I might only get refunded a small portion of the cost.Thank goodness I didn't waste too much money on this.Overall, I thought this product was over hyped. If you're not huge into lifting, than maybe this is a good product for you, but this didn't absolutely nothing for me.

A solid cheap alternative to Gorilla mode
This is my new favorite evening workout juice!Clinically dosed to get an amazing pump, nootropics that get you going but do not mess with your sleep and a heaping doses of both carnintine's to get thermogenesis going.Flavor wise it does the job, some may not like it but any real gym rat takes this for the effects and not flavor.Make sure to drink plenty of water with it since the scoop is big and it will male you sweat. The carnitine will keep your core temperature high for hours so you might need to crank up the ac unless you want to wake up in a pool of sweat

has its goods and its bads
i did not get any jitteriness nor tingle nor any kind of energy boost. that is what i was expecting from a non stim pre workout which was good. however, i did not get any pump either. the taste is ok, maybe a little too sweet. im going to keep using this to see if anything changes, but so far, its just meh
