Cousins Forever is a simple story about look-alike girl cousins who bond in early childhood before one of them moves with her family to a distant part of the world. We follow them as they share their experiences of nature and animals by video chat. On each page are two short paragraphs, one in English and one in Italian translation, accompanied by a colorful and charming watercolor to illustrate the subject of their conversation. Toward the end of the book the cousins invent a “word swap painting game” in which one paints a picture and they both say the word for it out loud, Then their parents join in the game.While I happen to have read the English / Italian version, versions are available for at least seventeen languages. Cousins Forever is one of a series of books, with the next called “Happiness Street.” The combination of cheerful illustrations with short paragraphs in two languages should be an enjoyable learning tool for young children. And when it comes to learning languages, the younger the better.

This story is so sweet and the illustrations are also very nice. I cried when I read this and I love the Italian and English. I’m going to get more copies to share. It’s really wonderful.

The theme of separation and reunion through communication is more valid than ever. People used to have pen pals through the mail now there is facebook. The concept of overcoming language and geographic impasses through internet connections is inspiring. Hopefully children will appreciate the splendid watercolors. The art was my favorite part of the book,the story is quaint and simple by design.Children will be inspired to communicate and learn new languages.

I agree with a few points made by other reviewers. First off, the story was a great one for children and the illustrations were absolutely beautiful. My little one loved them, as did I. I also loved the English to Italian formatting...knowing just a little Italian, I too, enjoyed learning a little more of the language. The other point I agreed with, and also my reasoning for just four stars, was the brevity of the book for the price. I highly recommend a few more pages of content be added. Otherwise, great job!

Best baby shower gift ever!

This is a lovely story about two cousins who are as close as sisters. One has to move far away, and the girls find imaginative ways to stay close by sharing their lives. Beautifully illustrated with text in English and Italian. Great bed time story book. Lots of positive things to talk about travel, love, family. The Italian is a big plus but book is great even with out it. The English is not too complex so it's the perfect book for kids to use to learn read as well. Highly recommend.

I didn’t particularly like the drawings, especially the faces of the children on the first page, pretty offputting. Underwhelmed, Not sure if this is the new thing in self publishing but it is overpriced. The story idea was OK.
