Q: Why are those darker than the previous ones that I bought?

I opened up one of the capsules, and to my surprise the oil is red, hexane, a disolvent ,which is hazardous to our health, I won't ever order from amazing herbs again.

Q: Has anyone found out the reason these have changed in color? The new capsules are lighter, but the information on the label is still the same.

In my experience with black cumin seed, for my entire life, the only reason the color is light and even doesn’t smell like black cumin seed oil is,the oil is not black cumin seed oil as the manufacturer claims. Even though I spent 22$ on 1 bottle, I haven’t used it and I won’t, when I talked to manufacture they gave me non sense excuses, and they didn’t even respond to my 2nd call, fake oil not black cumin seed oil

Q: What is the capsule made of ?

It is a soft gel capsule. It is made of Gelatin. If allergic to gelatin you can try the liquid. I use the liquid only because I do not like pills. Both are just as good!
