Excellent sheepskin ear pads
I bought the sheepskin variant of these ear pads for my beloved pair of HD650, and they are excellent. Very breathable with the perforated holes, comfortable for long use, and still have the great soundstage you expect. These are way better than the velour stock ones that come with the headphones, and now these feel and sound like a new pair of headphones (but possibly even better!).Don't hesitate - buy these and show your old headphones some love.Make sure to watch the video guide that is mentioned in the leaflet in the box, as you need to fit these properly - however, it is easy and requires no tools.

Excellent replacement earpads for my Drop Jubilee 58x's
I'd not realised how worn my old ear pads were until fitting these. A very east fit and they have significantly improved the sound and comfort of the headphones. I would say the quality is easily as good as the stock pads if not better, they are very comfortable. If you have a pair of 600 series or the 58x Jubilees I would recommend these over paying for much more expensive Sennheiser or Drop earpads

Good Replacement Earpads
Sennheiser brand pads are notoriously expensive but no other pad is tuned as perfectly for the 6 series. I tried AHG pads about 3 years ago but was not happy with the sound signature which was different to the original pads.I continued forking out £35 each year to Sennheiser though it should have been every 4 months as the original brand pads deteriorate rapidly. I decided to try AHG pads again and I'm glad I did.Sound signature is not the same. There is a definite boost to bass- a boomy bass which I cannot stand. I use an iFi iDSD Micro Signature DAC/AMP with Samsung phone as my source.I worked the EQ and by cutting 125 Hz by 3-4 db and slightly adjusting the other low frequencies I was able to find an excellent solution. I am totally happy with the AHG pads now. The build quality, stitching, workmanship and materials used are all excellent and I have been using for about 1 month with no deterioration. After 1 month the Sennheiser pads would be losing top end sparkle and bass impact.I am delighted to have found a solution to the HD6XX/650 etc earpad dilemma and would recommend the AHG pads wholeheartedly.Fitting is simple and takes secondsI'm also delighted to be able to support an entrepreneur and fellow countryman and avoid the scam of paying £35+ P+P at least every 12 months. I think you should support him also.

comfortable and seem good quality, easy to fit.
Comfortable and seem like decent quality. Considerably cheaper than the official ones. These are easy enough to fit but be careful. You have to push down precisely on the inner plastic edge of the earpad while being careful not to push in and damage the inner part of the headphone. There are videos on youtube to help if you are not sure.

The Best Alternative to Sennheiser Pads
If you're looking for a worthy replacement to your stock HD6xx series pads, then look no further. Readily available, easy to install and no perceptible loss in sound or comfort quality when compared to the stock pads. I've used Dekoni Hybrids with my HD650s before this which altered the sound significantly and also sampled the Brainwavs Velour and immediately replaced them. These are by far the best pads and considerably cheaper than the pads Sennheiser would sell you. Considering ordering a few more to make sure I have pads on hand when these wear out.A must by for any HD 6 series owner looking for replacement pads.

Premium look, but disappointed with audio
Looks and feels really well made. The audio output is high end biased? (Reminder, hearing is very biased to each individuals unique hearing} The bass and low mids transmitted by the original velour pads seem to be missing. As is the warmth and fullness of each note. This could be to do with my fitting of the pads? Not sure. I really want to keep these pads as they look and feel so premium. I am going to experiment a little more as I prefer an airy, light sound rather than a bassy sound which muffles the mid range.

Inferior sound & comfort. They crackle too!
I've been trying to cope with these earpads for the past couple of weeks as I didn't want to pay the premium for the original Sennheiser HD650 replacement pads, but I have finally concluded that they're no good. The main problem is the earpads crackle when compressed. I only have to make slight head movements, and the earpads will crackle. It sounds like a bowl of rice krispies and destroys the listening experience of this wonderful headphone. The second problem is comfort. They're not uncomfortable, but they're nothing like the original. The pads are soft velour, but the thicker and denser padding causes additional compression (extra clamping force) around my ears, resulting in discomfort over long listening sessions. The final issue is sound. I never expected the sound to change so drastically, but it does. While I like the elevated bass response, the extra sibilance is fatiguing, and the soundstage is narrower and claustrophobic. I've been able to make some improvements using Peace (Equalizer APO) but I'm still not 100% satisfied. To conclude - if you value the original HD650 sound and comfort, get the original pads.

Good quality, great value
Was close to forking out for some Dekoni earpads, but took a chance on these instead. Really good quality for the price and very comfortable.Sound quality has definitely improved compared to the very old and worn pads I've just replaced with these.
