Good adapter for airplane travel!
As advertised. I bought this adapter specifically for travel purposes: I have a newer Precision 7710 that ships with a 180W adapter, but that adapter draws too much power from on-board power on an airplane. I fly long-haul several times each month and bought this charger to see if it would either slow-charge my laptop or prevent it from draining. Good news, it works! The computer won't boot up with this plugged in, but connecting it after the laptop is running prevents the battery from draining and will slowly trickle charge it. I try not to use it unless I have to since lithium batteries are sensitive, but so far no problems!

Good product
This charger is as pictured and described, an original Dell. I have not had it long, but so far it works well and I would recommend buying a Dell and not a generic replacement as I did that and was not happy.

Just What I Needed
I was upset when the power supply began to die. My laptop is pretty old and was running really slowly as a result. I was very surprised to find an original Dell adapter for such a good price. It fits and works perfectly and my laptop is working much better. It arrived right on time in good condition. I have no complaints whatsoever on this purchase.

Original Dell AC Adapter
This was purchased to replace the original adapter to my Dell Insipiron 3521. The AC adapter came with all pieces including an adapter which I am assuming is for other models. It is an actual Dell adapter as you can see in the photo. I always worry about buying AC adapters because they either don't fit or don't charge. To my surprise this is exactly the same as the original I have. The day I received it I plugged it into the wall and the laptop and it instantly began charging. One review said you have to deplete the battery to charge......nope not mine, it charges anytime it is plugged in, ANYTIME, dead battery, full battery, half dead, whatever. It charges the battery just fine and continues charging even when the laptop is on and in use. I am glad I made the purchase as this laptop is now mobile again, no more having to use it near an outlet. The charger was described as an original and to the best of my knowledge it is. If you need a replacement for your charger I highly recommend this. Don't take your chances with a cheap knock off. If my review helped please let me know.

Possibly dangerous? Definitely undependable
I have had this product for a year now. (It was needed to replace the original cord that came with my laptop after I bent it with my car door. Oops.) I never had trouble with the original, but this thing?!?!?? It looks genuine, but I can't help but wonder if it really is a Dell product. The cord comes in two sections, one plugs in the wall, one into my laptop, and they connect together in the middle. The middle connection is very poorly fitted. It slips right out without any effort. All I have to do is bump the cord for it to stop working. The laptop LOOKS like it is plugged in properly but all of a sudden I get a low battery message on my screen. Then I fiddle with the cord to get it in just the right position before it will charge again. The scary part is that while I am fiddling with the cord, my living room light is flickering! Is this thing a fire hazard?!?!? Is it causing power surges in my house? Besides being possibly dangerous, it is frustratingly undependable. Imagine thinking your laptop was charging all night only to leave your house with a dead battery in your device. I would strongly suggest you pay the extra money and get a real one directly from Dell.

Charger works, but materials are brittle.
Charger works as expected, and I've been using it for about six months or so. A couple of months in (just past the return window), the plastic casing around the prongs that go into the AC adapter cracked, letting the casing fall off. I've been able to just place the casing back on and keep using it (although it may not be the safest idea), but it is frustrating that it would crack/break without much abuse. More recently, the rubber of the cord tore near the plug, which I simply repaired with electric tape (see attached picture).I use my laptop and charger between home and school, and when coiling up the charger, I take care to leave some slack around the fixed ends as to not put undue stress on the cord or plugs. Irregardless, the charger seemed to be quite fragile compared to my original Dell charger, which lasted without any defects for over two years before I lost it. This leads me to wonder if this is in fact a genuine Dell charger, as the adapter on this charger also heats up significantly more than the original during use.In summary, it does the job, but I can't speak to its durability or whether or not it really is a Dell charger as advertised.

Overpriced, but serviceable.
It would be nice if things like this were priced according to their actual value of materials, but that is not the case. That being said, it works. That is what you want in a cord. We needed a new cord now we have one. Bulky for travel.
