Great for cleaning your nails
For an inexpensive little nail file this one works really well. I love the curved cleaning tool on the end. I garden and seldom wear gloves so dirty nails are a constant issue. The thin curved tip cleans under your nails really well.

It works
It gets the job done, but the edges are really sharp so I cut my fingers under my nails a few times on it. It would be much better if they were smoothed out or rounded.

Clean up them nails
Your spouse will be happy with this.Thinking about all the money you’ve going to save not having to return to the nail salon, go ahead and dig out the garden debris and file the newly broken nails you just bought.Getting rid of that sharp spot will benefit, well it won’t hurt your chances…

As promised
Both files are the same: 2 sided (1 side course and 1 less so). Sharp too. After reading other user comments on this file whereby some commented that the edges of the file were kinda sharp and perhaps with some metal burrs. These files are stamped out, not ground or cut out. So I thought par for the course, easy to fix and hit the buy button. Upon receipt I assessed this and indeed I could better understand their remarks about the non-smooth edges. Part of the issue is the 'triple cut' grind into the metal file face goes all the way to the very edge. So by sliding the thin file between your fingers whereby your fingers are slightly squeezing the outside (side) edges, you're gonna feel some of this texture. Your fingertip kinda wraps around the edge of the file a little so you're feeling the side edge AND a little of the file face. What I did was run it over my knife sharpener stone. These nail files are stainless steel and as such, softer metal than knives. So I wanted to basically run over all the edges of my new files to take off any burrs, and perhaps a little of the sharp texture on the very outside edge of the face. My knife stone worked excellent for this task. After just 2-3 passes per edge over the stone, I was very happy.

Works great
I finally found something that will trim the nails instead of those other cheap ones. These are hard to find, but thankfully I did.

Too thin and sharp for me
Headline says it all. I got it for scraping dirt out from under fingernails (I recently got better-quality clippers, and they lack the liittle fold-out hook for this purpose). The file seems fine but I don't use it for that. Painful to use and requires a lot of care.
