So we bought the pack with the normal size and the large sized water beads. My five year old is holding them in this pictures. They filled up fairly fast, a few hours for the little ones, we left the big ones in a giant bucket of water overnight and this was the size result (We continued to leave them in water for about a week now and the large ones have gotten possibly as much as twice as big as what I have pictured here, but also they are so weak and fragile in their super large over extended size - fun to touch and play with in water as they are at a point now where they explode, but we can't hold them until we take the water away) I also really like with the small ones there were some opaque beads, it made it a fun mixture with the jeweled tone ones and these are a perfect size if you want to make a pvc outdoor ball runner course. All in all they were exactly what we expected and my kids have had a lot of fun with them this summer.

The smaller sized beads were good, but many of the larger ones were visibly misshapen even before soaking. Some broke apart during the soaking process, and at least half of the remaining ones were too fragile to play with without them breaking apart.

Ordered these for my grandson and he absolutely loves them. They are so large - The more water you use the bigger they get.
