This is such a great car mount!! I bought it after seeing how well it worked for my best friend. She has an android phone with a very thick case and I have an iPhone with a relatively thin case, we both attached the magnet to our phones and it worked so well despite the differences in case thickness. I've had this product for probably a year now and have had no issues with the magnet on my phone, same with my bestie. This mount is super useful because it can fit any phone as long as the magnet is attached. They even send extra magnets, but so far I haven't needed to replace the one on my phone. I haven't had any issues at all with this product, the magnets are still strong and the actual mount part has stayed up on my car without slipping. I very highly recommend this car mount, its definitely worth it and will make your life so much easier.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I have the metal piece underneath the case. The case is a speck plastic case with little rubber grooves on it. It's a pretty common style case that I've seen a lot of people with. Right off the bat, the magnet to the metal without anything in between is extremely strong. With the case in between, it is definitely much much diminished, however it still appears to be plenty strong enough to hold the phone in place. I'm okay with having to stick the metal piece to the outside of my case if it comes to that, but right now it seems okay just sticking it inside the case. I haven't had this very long, so I can't speak to how well the adhesive hold up on the dash. I did have a different model in a different car and it was great until the thing fell off the dash. It gets pretty hot where I am so that will be the real test. I'll update if something goes awry, otherwise I'll stick with five stars.

I spent a lot of time looking for the least intrusive car mount, without ugly suction cups or awkward spring arms. I found the perfect solution. This mount is simple and minimalistic, which is what makes it so great. Most passengers in my car don’t even notice the mount until my phone starts ‘floating’ on the dash. The thin magnet sits unnoticed inside my phone case, and clings to the mount without fail every time. Only the roughest roads or sharpest corners knock my phone off, and only when I connect my phone off-center. The magnet has never negatively affected the functioning of my phone. I recommend this mount to everyone who asks about it.

The item arrived on time and was well packed. This holder works great. It looked a little wimpy when I first looked at it the flat attachment with 3m tape on it; and it is really thin and appears like it will crack. I am assuming it was made that way so that it could be trimmed to fit the ultimate mounting location.I determined where it was going to go ( I chose a flat inclined position on the center counsel. I cleaned the area, peeled the 3m tape and placed it in position, once it was attached it gave a clean factory appearance and it VERY strong. The magnet holds the phone in place with out twisting or sliding, hard braking and aggressive turning is not enough to shake it loose.Why only 4 stars instead of 5? 1 reason The mounting plates.The system came with 3 metal plates, 2 rectangle and 1 small round disk. I have 2 moto x pur phones that use gel covers.. The back of the phone is CURVED and the metal disk will not hold a curve, almost as if it has been tempered. The adhesive on the disk is not strong enough to make the disk lay flat on the phone. If the gel cover was not used this system would not work as delivered, a thicker stronger tape would be needed to compensate. If it will be used or attach to a surface that is less than flat then you will have to improvise. I would like to see the manufacture have a more malleable disk or add spongy adhesive strip.Performance: it surpassed my expectations and it deserves a 5 star.

This product is amazing, especially for the very reasonable price. I was looking for something that wasn't too bulky and would not obstruct my view while driving. The product is small and compact, but that certainly does not impact its function. The magnet holds the phone in place very well and even on bumpy roads or speed bumps, it does not move. The adhesive holding the mount to the car is also strong which keeps it in place. However, this means you should be careful placing it and make sure it is in the spot you want because once its placed you can not move it without ruining the adhesive pad. Its also great that the product comes with three magnets for three different devices, extra adhesive pads, and a cleaning wipe to place the mount. Overall, a great product and would highly recommend.

I should State at the onset that this item was bought to put on a motorcycle. A Harley Davidson Tri Glide to be exact. I read through some of the reviews and it seemed like several people had used it on a motorcycle and that it was very good for that purpose. I was just on a trip down to the Florida Keys and had my Samsung S8 attached to this mount. About halfway down US1, the stem of this device broke and my $900 phone fell to the pavement why was going about 40 miles per hour and was severely damaged. Like a fool I thought that the failure point would be the magnet so I attach rubber bands around the phone connected to the plastic mounting stem. For some reason the stem broke which allow the phone to fall to the ground. If you're planning on using this or thinking about using this to put a phone on your motorcycle, don't!
