Good quality, will do the job of wax resists well although these blocks probably have other uses, even if it's only to resolve a sticking drawer.

Not very good for tarmac or concrete.
I used similar wax "chalks" for marking roads and hoped that this would do the job but it crumbles quickly and doesn't stick to the floor, leaving only a faint trace. Note that it might be perfectly good for other surfaces.

Good Crayon
I used this crayon to fill the gaps in some cheap white laminate flooring. it was a perfect colour match and was the perfect hardness for the job. Im very pleased.
