Excellent to look at and ride.
The bike was delivered very quickly (4 days earlier than promised), it was well packed with lots of protection from cardboard or polystyrene. The assembly instructions were fairly easy to follow using the tools provided and with a friends assistance. Everyone remarks how good it looks and a couple of friends have tried it and loved it. The controls are easy to use and the bike is lovely to ride. However I am not sure if I will ever get the distance promised from the battery. I try to be economical with its use aware of the final mile which is uphill not wanting to run out of power before getting home. The battery is easy to remove or can be charged institu and takes about 3 hours.

Smart looking bike that 'pushes' you along
I really wasn't sure whether an electric bike would suit me (and was worth the considerable financial outlay) but having received it, I love it and have been reinvigorated to cycle more! The bike comes really well packaged in a huge box - mine was left on the door step and fortunately taken in by a neighbour as I was away at the time. This caused some considerable stress!!All the tools are provided to put the bike together but it comes fairly well made up already. You simply have to add on the handlebars, front wheel and saddle and they were pretty easy to do, even for a DIY novice like myself. I did find that tightening up the screws with the Allen keys was not as easy as it at first appeared - you really have to "turn the screw" to tighten up the handlebars post to align it with the front wheel. I did have an 'extra' piece left over after finishing the job but this was later explained as a 'free gift' which allows you to add a 'throttle type' control instead of the hand grips on the handlebar so That you can actually ride (I assume) without turning the pedals at all.As you make the bike you will notice that there are elements where the paintwork is not quite as well finished on the the aluminium frame but the finished bike does look rather smart. The battery comes pre-charged to a good level so you can try out the bike as soon as the front wheel has been placed (I'd never seen these bike brakes that operate on a metal disc before so I initially didn't realise that the wheel had a specific 'way round'). The good news is that this makes taking the front wheel off and on really easy so you can transport the bike in the back of a car (with the seats down) to new and exciting starting points! My first trial run was up and down the street . It's really a bit weird when the motor starts 'pushing' you because your speed has fallen too low. This does happen when you are turning tight corners on residential roads, so watch out! A great tip that another reviewer made was that you can return to the lowest 'assist mode' by turning the power off and then back on again because you can get stuck in a 'high' assist mode and want to lower this rather than raise it through the next levels. The battery seems to last well- my next trial run was to see if I could make a 4 mile round trip to a local landmark- instead I just kept on going along the coast for a 20 mile round trip. Hills were a breeze - even a 30 degree cobbled slipway up from the promenade was taken in the bike's stride (I'll admit that I did look out for hills to test it on after this). The bike itself is easy to ride without any assistance in the right conditions (e.g. without the wind against you or going down a hill) so the battery had only dropped a tiny amount by the time I'd reached the 10 mile point. The 18 gears on the bike are either geared to be very easy or I'm a lot fitter than I think (I don't really think this) and I find that I'm just using the 'hardest' gear (largest cog at the front and smallest at the back). When 'assist' mode is on , just rotating the pedals in a leisurely fashion has the most effect keeping a constant speed. The bike is heavy , being around 20kg plus - I can lift it into the back of my car with a bit of effort. The bike comes with a front light and a back reflector but no mudguards. The wheels are chunky and are much nicer to ride than the previous thin tyres I had - in fact they make riding on grass paths, shingle sand, tarmac or dirt paths quite easy whilst the 'assist' makes exploring into more remote pathways much easier with the 'assist' smoothing out dips and bumps.Something that has now happened to me twice is that my laces have become tangled in the pedals- I'm not sure if this is because I haven't tightened the pedals enough but the laces seem to wrap around the shaft until you notice and have to come to a sudden halt. The brakes are fine for the bike and the kick stand is a godsend- why didn't I have one of these before? The battery sits very neatly on the down frame and is taken inside the house for charging up again after each ride - basically the light on the charger goes from red to green when it is charged so it doesn't tend to take a huge amount of time. There is an indicator on the battery itself but this is a bit fiddly as you have to press a button in the middle of the display that you are trying to read. The battery slides down on to a rack on the bike and then locks into position (two keys are provided). The keys aren't required to take the bike away though - just to take the battery - there's a simple 'on' rocker switch on the side and then , if the bike isn't securely locked with a bike lock, it can be turned on and ridden off by anyone. The space inside the frame is limited by the battery and the frame cross section isn't round for adding extra things (I've added a small 'above bar' bag for the useful tool kit and am currently waiting for a rear carrier - although the reflector will have to go to fit this on to the saddle stem [This might not be a problem for tall people who have the saddle higher and therefore more stem available to put things around!]It's great fun though and I love being able to ride around again without becoming exhausted climbing up hills or battling strong headwinds.

Very good
I brought this bike a couple months back now and I will say it’s a very good bike for your commute to work and other stuff the range is quite good and the settings for the pedal assist is good for someone who doesn’t build bikes it was very easy to put together and built I would recommend this for anyone who wants there first e-bike and would say this is a valuable for the money

Needs better brakes. Need continuous repair (tightening)
Sometimes it stalls and the brakes constantly need tightening. When it's good it's good tho. Comfortable to cycle. The throttle isn't good up hills. I think its probably generic in quality. Good ones cost thousands and this around €800 so lookin forward to the prices coming down ( tech prices usually do).

Very Good Bike.
The bike was delivered quickly. It was well packaged and totally undamaged.Assembly was very easy and quick.I have not travelled very far yet, but, it rides well and is easy to get used to.One small point that I believe someone else commented on, was that the assist control levels only go one way. For example if you are in level 2, you cannot go to level one, only go to level 3. and then back to one.A work round is to select off, and then on and you will be at level 1.

Great value for money
We bought a Motorhome and decided we needed 2 eBikes. We have had the bikes for about 6 weeks so can’t say too much about long term stuff but we have found the bikes to be great for us. The bikes are great value for money and easy to cycle without using the battery. The battery is great for hills, we do cycle unaided a lot of the time but it makes cycling a lot more fun not having to worry about hills. The bike has 6 levels, 0 -no electric , 1 - some aid, up to 5 - lots of aid. You do need to use the gears as the electric aid only comes in when your legs are peddling. Only 1 gripe is that is you can only turn the power up not down. When the power goes up to 5 the next is off followed by 1 then 2 etc. Power indicators on bike tell you how much battery life is left, 4 lights battery is fully charged, when the last light starts flashing, as we found out, the electric assistance will only be around for a couple of minutes. Not sure of the battery life as the depends on how hilly it is and how much e help you are choosing. We went out yesterday for just over an hour up some steep hills (walking for us on a standard bike) and still had 4 power light on when we got back.
