More powerful & more complex than most
Most Briksmax kits are very straightforward, if fiddly to install. This one is a major upgrade, and quite tricky. It comes with an actual circuit board to which lights must be connected a certain way - and the instruction manual manages to skip over certain important steps in this process. It normally would not matter but in this case the lighting kit comes with sound fx and flashing indicators etc - and if you've wired them wrong, like I appear to have, they don't work how they're supposed to. It's no biggie, I for one won't be using all these fancy functions, but do take extra care when assembling and hold on to the installation manual in case you have to go back. Apart from that - great kit, as ever, and adds lots of va va voom to the finished product...

Install Was Difficult But So Worth It
The media could not be loaded. I gave up on the instructions halfway through because I was impatient lol! Quality and looks are amazing! Definitely worth the time and money. Took me around 3 hours but I also cut corners. I didn’t feel like weaving the wires through all of the holes so I decided to just tape them up underneath. The remote is a game changer!!Just got the other kit for my Land Rover Defender!

LEDs are dying…
After a month the LEDs are dying. Sad for such an expensive profit. Poor value for money.

Rewarding but difficult to do
Found this kit difficult to install and very time consuming. Took me longer to install the lights than it did to build the LEGO model initially. Finished it using a number of work arounds that simplified the wiring. However, the end result is impressive and I am pleased with the purchase. There is one remaining problem. When the battery case is in the “ON” position, the three AAA batteries last only 1 to two days. Be sure to turn “OFF”!
