much nicer than i had hoped! delicate, lovely, and perfectly functional. i use it as an accent rather than the sole item securing my hair, but i have long, thick hair. i would suggest handling it with care, but not due to any defect in manufacture---it's just a delicate item by nature. absolutely beautiful in hair, and has been much complimented. really can't go wrong with this.

These are very pretty hair accessories. The petals on the flowers are made of a glasslike material and are not plastic! I like the way mine look even better than the ones in the picture on Amazon. They match some hair pins I purchased with similar flowers on them so they go together well. I wear my hair up a lot in the summer so these will be nice to add elegance.
