Black Rapid Curve Breathe Classic Strap, Black, One Size

I had put off buying a BlackRapid strap because I was reasonably happy with the Think Ergo Utility Strap I got at Amazon a year ago. I liked that the Think Ergo attaches to the camera strap brackets, so it does NOT tie up my tripod mount the way the BlackRapid does. It provides the same quick access to my camera that otherwise sits out of the way on my hip. There is no uncomfortable neck strap chafing at me, the way the original camera strap did.But the more I used the Think Ergo, the more annoying it became. The attachments to the strap brackets were via two quick-release clips that kept getting in my way of using the camera, to the extent I had to disconnect one of them to be able to access the camera's controls. And the shoulder pad kept slipping backwards.Buying the BlackRapid became a no-brainer when I learned that its quarter-inch screw mount would ALSO attach to the side of my L-bracket, meaning it didn't tie up the tripod mount and I still had full tripod access. It's sturdier and better made. Previously I used the Peak Design clip that attaches to a backpack, but it kept falling off. A lot of people like the Spider Holster that fixes the camera to a belt around your waist, but to me that's just an invitation to accidentally bash your camera against a door frame. With the BlackRapid, you can pretty much keep the camera riding on your hip just behind you, so it's out of the way. And you don't have to detach anything to bring it up to take a shot.

I absolutely love this thing! I bought this one for $74 and a near identical knockoff of this one that was only $11. I got them same day and opened the cheaper one first and at first I thought it looked ok but then noticed some weak points in it. Then I opened the blackrapid and immediately noticed a huge jump in quality and I found it was very comfortable and the breath design in the shoulder pad really works proper. I’m hanging my sigma 50-500mm lens directly from it in the tripod mount on my lens, which weighs 4.5lbs and my D5300 attached to the lens and it holds very securely. I ordered a second fr5 screw piece for a back up safety strap to my camera. I’m very happy I spent the extra $ on this one feeling pretty confident my equipment is hanging safely and securely! I’ve been using it everyday for a week now and still just so glad I chose this sling! I felt like $74 was a bit much for a strap but this one is well worth every penny!

I really contemplated purchasing this strap for my new Lumix FZ2500, but decided to go for it. The strap is nicely constructed and the hardware is smooth and finished. I used it while walking around the Gettysburg Battlefield and it was very comfortable throughout the day. I walked several miles and the strap remained on my shoulder and very comfortable. While I'm happy with the product, I question the price I was charged for it. The fact it was made in the USA may account for its hefty price tag.

The BlackRapid Curve Breathe camera strap (sling style) is a perfect, well-thought out heavy duty strap that allows me to use my Canon EOS 1-DX body / 28-300mm lens combo with confidence and ease. My Canon body/lens is extremely heavy duty (emphasis on HEAVY). I've tried all manner of configurations -- Cotton Carrier Vest system, Think Tank systems -- and finally the SpiderPro Plate system (which I modified for use with my Think Tank belt). This BlackRapid Curve Breathe sling-style camera strap is light weight and engineered to be tough & handle the extra weight of this big Canon camera body and lens combo. FIVE STARS - well engineered - built to last. Will likely order a second though -- just so I can "archive" it for future use as I have been frustrated before when company's discontinue a proven product I like. BlackRapid has a WINNER here -- and I will get a second as a back up.

One of my best investments for sure. Looking back I am so glad I bought this product than going for a another brand. (Or Cheaper version) I was highly anxious on making the right decision to protect a camera I just bought. I wanted to use it and eliminate the hurdle of thinking “it’s too big, heavy and such a hassle to lug around” this product solved that. It is so functional and I feel safe using it. I hesitated at first because I do have a heavy sigma lens on a eos r hanging on there. But I gained more confidence as each day I use it. Blocks after blocks of the city I cover walking just assures me of that I made the right purchase. I’m so happy with this and you would be too. *its good to note that make sure that you get the right set. a right handed Version is not interchangeable with a left handed one.
