Barbell is exactly as described
So I’ll start by saying the product description is completely accurate. I tried it tonight and it definitely holds at least 320 pounds. It weighs around 15 pounds and feels solid. No bend at all with the weight I was using. Word of warning - if you have a standard width power rack, this bar will not work. I did not measure so it’s completely my fault but the plate loading portion of the barbell extends past my J hooks so I have to improvise until I can rig up a sleeve of some kind. Anyway, the bar does great and the knurling is perfect. I read some reviews implying the knurling was too rough, I think those guys are not real weight lifters. Knurling feels good and allows you to keep a grip. Great value for this bar.

Two negatives
So far so good. Put over 300lbs on bar for deadlift and it doesn’t bend too much, appears to straighten back out. Time will tell.Only complaint I have, is that my plates fit on it quite loosely. I think the holes in my plates (vintage plates) are about 1 1/4 inch. This bar seems to be a little under 1 inch. That makes the plates fit sloppy. Generally this doesn’t matter, but when when doing deadlifts the plates like to move around pretty easy even with the clips on and such. This may be true for all 1 inch plate bars I’m not sure. But I think it would be nicer if the plates fit a little tighter. Otherwise good bar.UpdateThe bar is beginning to form a permanent bend. I’m a little disappointed about this. It’s not drastic yet, but I didn’t think it should do this at 300 pounds when it’s rated for 450.UpdateSo far so good. I’ve had this for about a year. The band didn’t get much worse so overall this seems to be a good quality bar. One thing I’m looking for, is a good collar that will hold better when doing deadlifts.Need something that clamps extremely firm so when you drop the bar. Or put the bar down fast the plates won’t move.

Nor what it claims.
This is a really nice looking bar but it is not the dimensions they claim. The shaft is only 40", not 42" and it only weighs 17lbs. It is also not a solid bar, as the threads used to screw the ends to the shaft are clearly visable.

Rigid and Strong!
This bar is rigid and high quality! It does not bend like a lot of other barbells out there. This gives me peace of mind when I am lifting heavy weights!
