The camera was a bit of a pain to set up initially. The IVMS software lets you change SOME settings, but not all. I was lucky enough to find the latest IE browser plug-in on their website and was able to modify the settings via the browser after that. (Seriously though, when are these manufacturers going to support newer browsers??? IE, really??)The picture was nice, the zoom was amazing, and the camera had all of the adjustments you would expect. Seems good, right? The problem arose when I powered the camera down and powered it back on later in the day.After power cycling the camera, ALL of my settings were gone. I had to go back to the default IP address to try and set it up again. More issues. When trying to log in via the web browser, the camera returned the error "Network Anomaly", whatever that means. When I tried to re-establish communication via the IVMS software, the camera was never on-line. Basically, I lost all ability to access the thing! There is no 'reset' button, so after a couple of hours fiddling with it, back into the box it went. Amazon/Imporx can have this one back. Of the very few reviews, they are all positive, so maybe I just got a bad camera. That's why I left it at 2 stars. I just know that I'm done with them at this point. I've already purchased my replacement camera from another manufacturer.

Start reading the Amazon description of the whole Page & Product... Read customer reviews!!! This Product was firdt introduced to Amazon in 2015.. (I should of read that before I bought) 4 years out of date !! The camera powered on by hearing the noise of the fan... Sent a blank CD with nothing on it ! Missing Cat 5 cable ! No Instructions or Q-code.... NOTHING !! Support at Amazon is terrible for this camera, people answering phones that know nothing about Surveillance Cameras at all !! I have sent 3 different Manufacturers of Cameras that are JUNK and do not do what hey advertise... no phone support, just email... (I want support NOW, not every time waiting on a reply from an email).... I have now a AMCREST, but it has its issues with the Developers Software, syas it is wireless 2.4 and 5.0ghz... would not work on 5.0, but I figured it out for the 2.4ghz by changing security WEP etc.... Camera is very clear and will do what it says, but the Software is a nightmare to figure out..... So my next purchase will be the DAHUA, more money bit has good reviews !! Will give it a try... This is the problem in todays world of these Manufacturers,,,, they just want $$$$$$$$ no support for their products.. I am so sick of what is going on today .. RANT OVER !! :-)

Durable housing, Picture quality could be improved along with software.

The camera is solidly built with a metal housing and comes well packed/protected with the bare essentials. You'll of course need to provide the other essentials for mounting the camera at the appropriate location ( fasteners, cable, power, etc) The installation of the camera was very easy and straightforward, I highly recommend following the included documents on the mini-disc that ships with it as it addresses the steps that need to be taken and most of the general operations of the camera.Once in its final home the camera has been working flawlessly. Auto-tracking works well with it but I cannot really use it where I have it mounted due to frequent vehicular traffic and a lot of trees that count as movement when the wind blows. If you are using this feature be sure the area being monitored normally does not have a lot of traffic.Image quality is great both day and night and the optical zoom feature is a definite plus, and is a great addition to my overall surveillance solution as it gives me great coverage over a very large area that would take several static cameras to do.I would have to say that the most attractive part of this camera though is it's pricing as it does what comparable cameras can do and more in some instances and those others cost a lot more.

Pretty sure I got a unit that had already been returned once. I could link to it at the default address but ptz controls just made it spin indefinitely. Going to the web interface, not changes I made would stick so I couldn't even change the default IP address. Autofocus seemed very bad as well but I'll return it and try another just to be sure. Build quality seems decent despite the rest on it.

I ordered this camera and was very impressed with the picture and overall operation of this unit. Within 3 weeks the camera failed. Just disappeared on the network. Reset to factory, still nothing. So I started to do my homework (as I should have before I bought it) and found that the Chinese company that makes the lens module (which consists of the lens, zoom, focus and CCD components and firmware) for this unit has had an almost 100% failure rate. When it works, it works great. But as far as I have read on the internet none have lasted over 6 months. Too bad the lens company can't get their shit together, this was a nice camera ...FOLLOW-UP ...FYI ... I originally bought SEVEN of these things. As of today (10-12-2020) ALL of them have failed MANY times over. No more warranty. ALL of them are junk now ...
