Effective, but.....
I bought this to replace a broken filter purchased in Osaka, Japan. It is used to filter the lime scale in the hard water in UK. Is it effective? Yes, it is. Is it practicably useful? No, because the pores in the filter are so tiny that it would take ages to filter a kettle of water. In reality, you would not have the patience to wait minutes for a kettle of water to be filtered.The worst thing is the tiny pores will be blocked by the lime scale very soon. It will last only a couple of days and you have to burn the filter with flame for 15-20minutes to make it work again.If you are using this filter for filtering lime scale in the water, forget it. Not recommended.
