Just fine

It's very creamy with good coverage. It can take water without becoming difficult to apply. It mixes well with other colors and is a good addition to the usual, economy pallets, easily available. If you'd purchased an empty pallet, it can fill a little pan and be reactivated later. That would make the tubes go further, as they are small. If starting with gouache, I don't recommend the box of 60 or 80 tubes. Those dry out, and colors can be blended. As far as this W&N gouache, I recommend this peachy color for mixing a wide variety of complexion shades.

Je suis artistique mais je n'ai jamais peint dans ma vie. J'ai décidé d'aborder la peinture en utilisant de la gouache, pour plusieurs raisons. C'est super facile de nettoyer à l'eau, alors pas de question de bazar après l'usage. La peinture peut être soit épais et opaque (comme les acryliques), soit douce et transparente (comme les aquarelles), alors c'est vraiment chouette si on veut faire des essaies et tenter différents styles de peinture. Les couleurs de Winsor & Newton sont supers vives et crémeuse, c'était un vrai plaisir de les utiliser. Mon père m'a offert un coffret de 10 différents couleurs et je suis venue ici pour aussi acheter la couleur "teinte chair" pour facilement faire la peau sur les personnages. La couleur est très rose alors en elle même je trouve trop foncée pour utiliser comme une couleur de peau, mais en ajoutant un peu de blanc c'est parfait! Pour les pinceaux, pas besoin de chercher loins, Winsor & Newton offre des jolis pinceaux synthétiques qui sont peu chers, comme la gamme "University Brushes". J'adore ces peintures et cette marque.

First, I love all Winsor & Newton gouache paints and have been using them for a very long time. I had always mixed my own brown before, but the paints that I have are limited in their quantities, and I was worried about wasting paints. I remembered the richness of the Winsor & Newton VanDyke Brown Paint and decided on it immediately. The FLesh tint was an even easier choice to make. Fantastic consistency, brightness, and "Mixability" (hate the coined term, but it does the trick). These have to be the finest paints out there and I wasn't even aware until recently that Amazon had them. But I do NOW! And now I shall be looking for more colors to complete my set. Consistency, brightness, staying power, mixing potential, everything that makes the brand a winner. I have paintings that are 30 years old, and I believe some, if not all were mad ewith WInsor and Newton paints and retain their color fabululously well. I definitely recommend this brand, and the colors I bought, Van Dyke Brown, and Flesh tint, bot a bit hard to get when working with blue and orange, or orange, pink and white.

I love the versatility of this color! You can do so much with it to achieve more color choices.
