My sweet old lab mix dog Murphy had senior blood work done on him just over a year ago. They told me there were issues with his liver and thyroid values. They said he would possibly benefit from supplements. I put him on this supplement for his thyroid, and a different one for his liver (milk thistle). I literally waited an entire year to leave a review because I wanted to see how things would come back once his blood was run again.I am beyond delighted to report that after a year of taking this thyroid supplement, one tablet twice a day, plus one dropper full twice a day on his dry food for his liver supplement, that his numbers came back this year as a-ok!! I am just thrilled.I did not realize what his prior symptoms meant. He had gotten chunky even though he has always been a trim dog. He became lethargic even though he has always bounced around like a puppy, loving to play fetch with his squeek toy. Sometimes in the morning he didn't want his breakfast even though he had always eaten with great gusto before. His belly often looked bloated to me. I usually chalked this all up to 'part of getting old'. The bloodwork finally revealed the truth of me.His appetite is now back, he dropped the weight without any other diet modifications, and he is bouncing around like a puppy again. I couldn't be any happier. These improvements began only a few months into his treatment, but I wanted to see his numbers first. I am so happy to have my bouncy perky 12 almost 13 year old 'puppy' back.I can't speak to any negative reviews on this product. I don't use this product on myself. All I can say is that the proof is in the numbers for my dog, and my dog is much happier and healthier now, thanks to this and the other supplement. Thank you!!!

ABSOLUTELY BELIEVE IN THIS!!! My dog Teddy, was diagnosed with hypothroidism and his vet made me feel like he had a death sentence if he didn't take his Levothyroxine. She said his numbers were so low they couldn't be read. I gave the Levothryoxine to him and he had a very bad reaction, a seizure and wasn't able to get up off his bed. Then when the med wore off he was fine and his old self. The dr didn't believe me and said "well, I've never had a dog react like that and you have to give it to him." REALLY? I thought I would rather him have a good quality of life than quantity then, I could not give the Levothyroxine to him and watch him seizure and not be able to function. SO.... I came here to Amazon to get some help. What did I have to lose, right? I read the reviews from people and decided to give this a try for my baby. He's been on it for two months and I took him to another vet for ACL surgery and had him run a thyroid panel on him and he said he's great....his numbers are normal for thyroid!!!! Teddy is doing wonderful and on week two of his ACL surgery and wanting to play and and back to his old self!!! After losing a ton of hair and going completely balled in different spots with red bumpy skin in just a couple days we rushed our dog to the vet and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. The vet prescribed synthetic thyroid crap that required us to wear gloves! Ok, so, I am a mother of 3 and my youngest is 1. I have to give our dog these meds every 12hrs only with gloves and be careful not to touch any of my kids... Ain't nobody got time for that!! So I searched online and found this! And oh wow. In only 1 week I was seeing improvements! She has been given the medicine every 12hrs in a bowl with her food, probiotics and a raw egg for a little over a month now and she is completely back to her normal self! Her hair has that luster and shine again, it has completely grown back to normal, her energy levels are sky high and she's lost fat!! She hasn't lost weight but her fat around her mid section is gone! She is still a 75lb, female black, English lab so their body is built like a rock anyway. We are super pleased we found these magic pills! She hates them by themselves but with a raw egg or wrapped in a piece of ham pshh, no prob! We will probably give her these for the rest of her life but it's super manageable and they are safe to touch! We can't afford to get her blood checked again right now but judging by her appearence, mood, energy, bright eyes, figure, and soft, shiny, luxurious fur I think she is perfect! Honestly, I was skeptical, but now I am a believer. I never thought my dog would have a thyroid issue, and I didn't want to pay for a high price diagnosis. For about 4 months I couldn't figure out why my dog (beagle mix) kept gaining weight. I was feeding him the appropriate amount of food, and running him 1 mile every other day. Sadly, he kept gaining about 1.5lbs every month. Then I tried these pills, and 5 weeks later he lost 2lbs. I stopped running him in those 5 weeks, and kept feeding him the same portion of food, and yet, viola, he lost 2 lbs. I will continue this for another 12 weeks, and I hope this will be a permanent solution after I take him off the pills, as others have said in their reviews their dog's hormones appear to gone back to normal.

I am only rating 3 stars because I cannot give this a 100% accurate review. All dogs are different. We have a large dog with lots of health issues and waited a long time before trying to treat his thyroid, due to financial struggles. After not seeing any results for 1 month, we stopped these and just ended up taking him to the vet to get ACTUAL pills and medicated shampoo. I think this is absolutely worth a shot if your dog isn't too far gone. Ours has had hypothyroidism for way longer than we thought, so I don't think these had an honest and fair chance at working. If your dog is just introduced to thyroid problems, TRY THESE! They are much cheaper than an actual vet visit. Just because it didn't work for our big guy doesn't mean it won't work for your dog.
