Only buy Nissan sensors!
I bought an aftermarket one that didn’t work and actually made my 2015 frontier run worse. This one worked perfectly. I can’t stress this enough, ONLY BUY NISSAN!!!!!!!!!

Only use Hitachi on Nissans Don't cheap out
Sometimes using the cheap sensors the car will not throw a code. What's battling this issue until I replace the sensor with a Hitachi unit only use Hitachi on Nissan's!!

Driving on tea cups...waiting for it to stall out and lose power steering in traffic again.
2010 Xterra w/ 50k hard to start sometimes and dangerously stalling while driving. Code was P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A, no engine light.Item pictured on Amazon is similar to what I removed. I assume mine was A or B rev. What I received was the metal sleeved D version. Since my car doesn’t have a lot of miles on it just re-used the old sensors O-ring on the new sensor. Not really sure about it’s use as the old sensor and the bore it goes into seemed pretty clean.Installed in about an hour, mainly because I messed around with too little of a floor jack until I pulled out the Xterra scissor jack under the back seat to get it up on jack stands. The D rev has the snap feature away from the bolt rather than on the same side. The harness still snaps on fine in this orientation. It is helpful to have a swivel head attached to your 10mm socket to get at the bolt.Drove for about an hour so far. Other sensors have been read since the last clear. So hopefully this issue is resolved.

Works great!
Installed this crankshaft position sensor on my 2010 Nissan Frontier SE Crew Cab and presto - problem solved. This is actually the newer, updated “D” version of the sensor, with a metallic sensor head. The connector installs 180 degrees from the old sensor position but you can just move the rubber cover boot around with on the wiring and it will still install over the retaining screw, as before. Great value for a new, genuine Nissan sensor! BTW, I believe my fault code was 0335 - symptoms were the engine would intermittently miss or just completely die (but would restart).

As Expected
Note the orientation of the connector on the new part. This part supersedes several previous versions, and my connector orientation was 180 degrees different. this is not a big deal, but it took me a minute to realize why I could not get the connector to connect. You can' really see it when your hand is up there trying to connect it. Just rotated the connector after I realized it and it was fine. This part does not come with the o-ring. I just transferred the old one to the new part. If you want a new o-ring, have one available before you start.

Perfect fit for 2011 Nissan Xterra
When my 2011 Pro-4X Xterra started throwing a P0335 code and stalling randomly I did some research and found that the Crankshaft Position Sensor was likely bad. Rather than order one from the dealership or take a chance on an aftermarket part I came to Amazon and found these. While the part number on the listing shows the "old" sensor, I did in fact receive the OEM Nissan upgraded version of the sensor. After about 30 minutes with the vehicle on a jack and the wheel off, we were able to replace the sensor fairly easily. (You will need a 10mm socket and some loooong extensions if you do it like we did, without removing the fender liner.)The truck runs as good as new again. No SES lights, no stalling!

Fixed P0335 on Xterra
Replaced this crankshaft position sensor as well as the other 2 camshaft position sensors. Cramped space to get to but doable with some extensions and a wobble adapter just peel over the left side of the wheel well cover to make it easier to get to. The original sensor didn't have an O-ring on it so put this new one on without it and checked for leaks and no leaking was present.

Not like the picture, but it works
As others here have pointed out, what is pictured in the listing is not what you get. What I took out of the vehicle (2005 XTerra) looks like the picture, but the replacement I received has a metal end instead of plastic, and the electrical connection is flipped 180 degrees. The package was labeled with a Nissan label and not aftermarket. All that said, based on the other reviews here I went ahead and installed it and it seems to work so far. It would be nice if the listing could let the buyer know that they will be receiving an updated version of the part.
