Deluxe Comfort Microbead Cloud Pillow Bed, Medium (Pack of 1)

I bought this and about seven months later bought the merlot/burgundy pillow cover for the Pillowy X-Large pillow. (the cover, in shadow or without light directly on it is close to merlot, with light directly on it is more like merlot wine stain on a white tablecloth).When I opened the package I thought it looked kind of brown, but it was folded with bright light on it;once I washed it (cold water,mild laundry detergent, Delicates dryer setting [I don't know what the washing/drying instructions say,but that is what I did to wash and dry it] )The pillow is much less firm without the white concealed zipper cover that it came with, which is good, in my opinion. When I got it I thought it was kind of too firm but would make a good backrest pillow propped up against the wall. Having my head too high up (it has a six inch loft) is too much of a bend for my neck for for me to sleep on without the possibility of waking up with a stiff neck.But with the pillow cover, the merlot/burgundy cover, the fabric has a little stretch to it and the pillow relaxes and is not so firm,it is softer,which is probably the way it is meant to be, and cradles the head comfortably, which is nice. The merlot/burgundy cover also fits the pillow over the white concealed zipper cover that it came with, but it is very, very firm. It seems the more confined the microbeads are,the more firm it makes the pillow. Which some people might want if they want a nice, big backrest pillow to lean on and prop themselves up with. I'm a lot happier with it with the new cover and a softer pillow that I can use to sleep on. The pillow itself and the white cover that it came with both have the Pillowy name on it, on a tag,which is the way I found the merlot/burgundy cover I bought for it,also on Amazon.

For years I used a Buckwheat pillow and loved it. It was soft & comfy. After 20 years, I bought another buckwheat pillow. The new buckwheat pillow was too hard. Like laying on a rock. So I decided to get this microbead pillow. I bought the large size. Much like my old buckwheat pillow, only this one is more comfortable.I figured out that this pillow will be harder if you put it in a standard pillow case that does not stretch. When I put it in a non-stretch pillow case it was too hard, but when I put it into a jersey (stretchy) pillow case it was soft and comfortable. So you can adjust the comfort level depending on what kind of pillow case you use.What I loved about my old buckwheat pillow, I found in this pillow. This microbead pillow you can form it into a shape and it pretty much stays that way (like my buckwheat use to do). I'm a side sleeper and I like to punch a dent where my head rests and the beads stay in that position all night. If you want to bunch it into a ball it will pretty much stay however you bunch it.One drawback for some might be the sound because you can hear a scratching sound of the beads moving when you move. I am use to the noise because my other pillow did the same, but some might find the sound annoying. I bought a large, but now wondering if I should have gotten an x-large because it does seem small. But then I wonder if it will be too tight in my pillowcase and cause a hard pillow, I don't know. I've had it for over a month and still loving it, so life is good.

All the pillows in Japan are small bead type. I found that they work very well.The beads can be shifted to the proper height; and moved to support head, neck, etc. Takes a few seconds to position, but then holds it's shape overnight...unlike standard foam pillows which compress.The pillow is very small, and doesn't contain enough beads, so I wrap the pillow case to compress them into a smaller dimension. I plan to order another and stuff more beads into this pillow.Kind of a rip-off since it's so small and has insufficient fill; but it works so well I will buy another.

Got this as a less expensive replacement for a Sobakawa cloud. It wasn't enough for me. Putting these in cases that don't stretch, that fit the pillows snugly, can help firm them up a lot. I did not try that with this but I will when I make a couch-pillow cover for it. I just hauled out my ancient S.cloud and hand whip-stitched the pillow-protector to bind it tightly. I WILL use this little, lightweight pillow. It will be an excellent couch nap pillow. It's smaller size is perfect for tossing in the car for road trips. Or to supplement another pillow. These little microbead pillows can mold to go right where you need them to be. I've had severe fibromyalgia for decades. My body is one of those princess and the pea bodies that react like crazy to any little thing. The change in pillows was one of those things. It is well made, good materials.

I have been trying to find this pillow for quite sometime. I’m so happy that I have finally found it and it is exactly what I’ve been looking for. So much comfort and perfect for sleeping. Now to find a good pillow protector for it.

Love the pillow, quite soft and sturdy. Stays in place and stays comfy and cool all night long. Bought the XL as I am a bigger guy and this was the right choice even though it’s oversized compared to most pillows. Bigger than a regular pillow, which is a plus for a plus sized guy. Go for it and order if all other pillows don’t hit the mark for you!
