Ritter Sport Chocolate Bars with Nuts (Dark Chocolate with Marzipan, 3.5 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Perfect! Took about a week, it is shipped in a box with bubble wrap in a box. Ordered in April and the expiration has 8 months so, it is not expired and has plenty of time. Was relatively warm out and none are melted. Tastes great

I have been enjoying Ritter Marzipan for many years. I've resisted ordering on-line due to concerns about getting expired product. Obviously, you can tell by the five stars I gave this product that I wasn't disappointed. I received the product on March 5, 2017 (yes, a Sunday, go Prime!). The expiration date is October 17, 2017. Trust me. The twelve bars won't even get close to that date.Let me also respond to the person who gave this a one star rating due to the lack of marzipan in the bar. I didn't bother to measure or weigh the chocolate or the marzipan but to my eye it looks like it's 50/50. The chocolate is excellent and I've consumed a lot in my 63 years. Including Callebaut right off the block. I do like bitter chocolate and this bar is as good as I've had period. No, the marzipan is not overwhelming, however for anyone who has had more than just the green stuff you get in cheap candy bars you will appreciate that marzipan is very rich and depending on how much sugar is in the mix can taste awful. IMHO, the amount in the individual square in this bar is just about perfect. Could it be just a tad more? Sure. But, for an everyday type of treat (I have two squares a day) this is just right.If you haven't tried it before go down to a high end grocery store and pay the six bucks they'll want for the bar and try it. If you like it then come back here and purchase a twelve pack. You won't go wrong. I certainly will be back long before October 17!

Although these are available at various locations I ordered these on-,line because I saved between $1.50 - $2.50 per bar.The marzipan to chocolate ratio is just right, not too much of one ingredient and too little of another. The dark chocolate, according to various sources and talking media heads, is supposed to be "good" for you. I could care less about the health issues, I buy this because I really like it and it tastes GREAT! This candy is just sweet enough without overpowering the delicate taste of the marzipan.I've read several review of this product where they report that the bars were already expired when they were delivered. Although this is my first review of this product I have ordered it many times in the past and I have never had any of the bars delivered past their expiration date. If I ever did receive expired bars I'd open them up to see whether there was anything, like mold, on the bars. If there's no mold or any other issues I'd at least eat one and, if there were no negative effects, I'd eat the rest of them over time.The only drawback is that it takes FOREVER for these bars to be delivered although in all fairness the delivery information DOES give you a delivery range which puts the delivery dates somewhere from 4-7 weeks from the date of purchase. I ordered this on 14 March and they were delivered today, 21 April.Overall, the Ritter Sport Dark Chocolate with Marzipan is EXCEPTIONAL! However, the only reason that I (and I suspect others) ordered this item on-line was to save money. PLUS, waiting so long to have the package just heightens your anticipation of the day that your package is finally delivered.

Fresh and delicious. Nothing beats the taste of Ritter Sport's dark chocolate and marzipan. What a combo!

Could be fresher and cost less , I’d buy again …Of course ingredients for being German co. well as I’m learning clean ingredients versus exactly what JFK is changing so all of us aren’t being poisoned

to me, this is hands-down the best candy bar on earth.i'm doing weight loss now, so i wish i could eat it! will probably have one per year from now on (instead of 3 or 4 per week, for the past 30 years). if ur young, eat 'em!

I love anything with dark chocolate and marzipan!! This has great marzipan flavor and good quality chocolate. My parents were German so I grew up with this stuff. Most Americans do not like marzipan. I love it. This brand is excellent. I bought some other brands of marzipan that was chocolate covered and it was tasteless. This brand is excellent. I highly recommend. Unfortunately with the summer coming up I will have to wait till the Fall to buy again.

I love chocolate and Marzipan, and usually buy Niederegger, but this brand was offered for $27 with free shipping (from the UK to the US!), so I decided to try it, and was quite pleased. It took ten days, but that was not a problem. I was concerned the quality would suffer from heat in transit, but it did not - it was fresh and delicious. The proportion of chocolate to marzipan is higher than Niederegger, and it seemed sweeter, so it's a bit different, but still quite good. Each bar is sealed in plastic, which helps keep it fresher. Hey, I see it's now available from a US supplier even cheaper - $25 with shipping. Just ordered it from them.
