HP LaserJet M110we Wireless Black and White Printer with HP+ and Bonus 6 Months Instant Ink (7MD66E)

This printer worked fine for about a month. As soon as the cartridge it came with ran low it refused to print. Understandable. So like anyone would do I installed a new one which they shipped to me for free. Sounds wonderful right?Wrong. I have not been able to get this thing to recognize that it has a brand new full cartridge as it keeps saying it’s low. I reset it, reset the wifi, and tried every single possible solution you could think of which took me about 4 hours.Thankfully, the people of Youtube and Reddit were kind enough to elaborate on how TERRIBLE HP printers are in generally. I literally couldn’t find a single positive comment on these printers and I completely understand why.Don’t even bother trying to contact support they’re just as clueless as you the buyer. If you’d like to waste some money then this is the printer for you. Definitely returning this as soon as I can. Again don’t waste your time on this. I’m really in awe of the great reviews on here because my God, I have never not been able to troubleshoot and solve a technological device such as this.

An update after several months of use:- printing is easy, the print quality is good, but you better use more expensive paper because the printer has no tray to collect ready-printed pages, and cheaper paper, invl Amazon grade, bends down after printing, and is then fed up in the printer again resulting in a mess.- my main issue is with the Instant Ink subscription. I got the printer bundled with a free 6-month cartridge trial - this how it was offered! Since I don't print enough to have a subscription, I applied in to cancel the subscription before end of the trial. This is the official response from HP: "Have store-bought HP Original cartridges ready to install. You can continue using the subscription cartridge until March 23, 2023, however it will not function in your printer once your subscription is cancelled, even if it is already in your printer." This is one very lousy service, and I would think twice before getting this printer if I knew they play such tricks!I have used this printer for a few days only, but want to comment on installation, as this is often a very painful process with many home printers. Overall, installation thru my Windows10 laptop was straightforward. On the printer I did not have to do anything except remove some protection and power it on. Everything else was done on the laptop via the HP SW I was instructed to download. The printer acquired the wifi credentials automatically from my laptop. The only small misstep was with the Instant Ink part of the installation - after I was made to subscribe to the service, the SW got stuck. Luckily, after restart of the installation SW, it completed successfully and I was able to print within 30min from start.I give 4 start because I don't know yet the sustained quality of the printing, and because I don't like been forced thru Instant Ink subscription, even if this supposedly is easy to cancel later. Plus, the service asks you to keep your printer on and connected all of the time to report on the ink status.Also, while the printer is compact - and that's why I got it - the real depth dimension is significantly larger because of the pwr plug at the back and the paper feed in the front.

I print very little and that means I face issues when I try to print suddenly after weeks.I recently had the Brother printer that does scanning, printing and everything else. When not using it or keeping it unplugged regularly the inks go bad so I found out about this laser printer and since it uses "dry" ink I don't have to worry about the ink getting bad even if i don't use it often.I don't need color printing and use scan apps on my phone when needed...honestly how many home users actually prints color? so this is ok for me.I love the fact that how small it is compared to the traditional brother printer I have.Only drawback is the paper tray which does take up space and I would prefer not to have the paper collecting dust since they will not be in an enclosed tray. Since I don't use the printer often i just put the tray back up and not have the paper on it. This avoid having to print on dusty paper that has been seating on the tray for long time and save the space.Overall, I'm very happy with overall setup and FAST and CRISP printing AND I no longer have to worry about liquid ink going bad!PRO : SMALL SIZE. I like the size of this printer. It's the size of a loaf of bread. I did not take the 6 months free toner because it is not really free and I cannot use that much. Have not needed sleep mode. I do need tech support since I cannot figure out how to scan and copy.. When I get that support I will redo my review to update. Directions are not there for this.UPDATE: Cannot scan or copy with this printer. I do not use my phone for anything related to this printer. Would prefer not to have it set up for WIFI. For three days printer would not work even though (stated my WIFI was down) my WIFI was working great. Then all of a sudden it worked. GO FIGURE. I should have spent extra for a scanner and color copier.
